This is a story fallowing a sofar unnamed character through a zombie out break. He goes to work just like any other day but finds himself seperated from his family but a outbreak.
I started the day like every other. I woke up gave my wife and daughter a kiss as we gathered around the kitchen table for breakfast. I turned on the TV that sat across from my spot at the table. I turned it to the news as a man was talking about some local attack. I decided that wasn’t what I wanted to start my day with. I took a bite of my toast as my wife sat it out.
“Looking forward to work honey?” She said with an exaggerated smile as she sat across the table.
“Oh yeah! Why wouldn’t I ? going out of my way to talk to people who have way better things to do…Its great!” I retorted with excited clap dripping with sarcasm as the whole display had.
I finished my breakfast and rose to give my family their daily kisses then headed for my car. As I entered it I noticed that the town was unusually silent. I figured it was nothing . As i started my car the man on the radio was talking about the same attack the news was, but for some reason he sounded more nervous. About mid way through the trip to work(which is located an hour from my home) I turned on my radio and listened to some music.
Just as my favorite song reached the high point I passed a wicked crash it was surrounded by police. I figured they had things under control so I continued my journey. There was a weird feeling in the air. I just chalked it up to be my imagination. I pulled into my office buildings parking complex and got out of my car. That strange feeling came over me again, and again I shook it off.
As i entered the building the feeling came back and wouldn’t go away. I walked down the abnormally quite halls and noticed everyone on the floor gathered into the break room. I approached the group to see what they were all staring at silently. I taped my friend Derek on the shoulder. ” Hey what’s this all about?”
