A short story about stereotypes.
“And what can I help you with, lass?” His Scottish accent surpises even the most disciplined. He gets up, and before the outsider can come in, he puts on a mask.
“I’m here to join you.” The leader gets a good glimpse at the girl. She wears a pink body suit, black boots, and, strangely, no makeup. The problem with the leader is that he cannot tell if a girl is “hot” or not. He just refers to them as a person more gentle than a man.
“Hm. Are you sure? Well, it is actually quite easy, lass. Duel me with any sort of melee weapon, and I will use my hands and blindfold. If you manage to knock me out, then, you get to join. Oh, and in a jiffy, I must add. We have an upcoming party, and someone such as you shouldn’t miss it.” His flatness surprised the newcomer, but he had a sing songy voice, which made him seem like a nice guy. But, it seems so easy. He would be blind, and he would only use his hands. All she needed to is taze him.
“Is there a catch?”
“Yes. I will take off my armor.” That sent her blushing. He’s going to fight naked? “Of course, you are feminine. I’ll leave my pants on.”
“Do I have to undress?”
“No. Leave your armor on. Oh, and please don’t kill me.” He took off his mask. The sight of his face made her want to run straight out of a window and run at him and hug him. He is so scary, and so… oh it doesn’t matter. In other words, he is as hot as a nuclear powerplant. Then, he took off his chest plate. The newcomer couldn’t help but stare. Muscles ran down his abdomenom and sides, and he seemed to have arms chisled out of rock. She couldn’t help but think that he is ripped. Lastly, he put on a blind fold, and put out his arms in a figthing stance.
“Should I go easy on you?”
“No.” So much for thinking this is easy. A sword hilt appears on her back, fragments of matter combining into a deadly sword hilt. She slid the energy sword out of the sheath, a slight hiss accompanying its exit. Without any hesitation, she leaped right at the leader, arms poised to strike.
But, she is just met with a bone shattering round house kick at her head. A crack resounded across the dance room. The force of the kick sends her body spinning, and she hits the ground with a thud. Well, that didn’t go well.
The newcomer is obviously athletic. The leader is obviously merciless. He sent his foot straight at the girl’s neck, cleaving downward with such force that it could crush a concrete floor. The girl struggles to regain composure, showing supreme body strength and determination, but of course, to no avail. Her body won’t respond. She watches in horror as the foot descends onto her face, and she blacked out.
“Another wannabe?” asked another voice.
“Yeah. Its a lass, though.” he shakes his head, and lifts the girl on her shoulders. “Come on, the rest of the gang knows what to do when they hit the dance floor. I’m going to get myself another member.” He hops on his airboard, with his chest still bare, and shoots to the hospital. Meh, good thing I stopped the kick.
