62 year old Larry, is a world Idol already, the air time his song has already had is causing such a stir.

Even though Larry was to old to audition for American Idol, with the cut off age being 28, Simon Cowell let him go ahead and perform his song ‘Pants on the ground.’ The Judges were crying with laughter as the old timer did his thing!

Simon Cowell was shocked at the age of Larry and said, “I have a horrible feeling that song could be a hit. I don’t think it is the last we’ll hear from you.”

Larry’s song was obviously about all the young men that wear their trouser waists to big and the tops of their boxer shorts are showing over the top of the trousers.

LYRICS:

Pants on the ground

Lookin’ like a fool with your pants on the ground

With gold in your mouth, hat turned sideways

Pants hit the ground, call yourself a cool cat

Lookin’ like a fool, walkin’ to the town

With your pants on the ground!

If you aren’t humming this song, I think you soon will be! It’s cute, catchy, and funny and Larry has a point to make!

Larry was also keen to tell us his Birthday is on the 27th January, the very same day as my Birthday! I will sing your song Larry.

Youngster, either buy trousers that fit you or buy a belt or two!

General Larry Platt, you made your name, you got your fame!

Simon Cowell is to quit his role as a judge on American Idol. He is set to launch the X Factor in the USA. He was offered more money to stay on the show but said, “I think you know when it’s time to move on,” he said. “Money wasn’t the reason behind it. I wanted to do something different. I wanted a new challenge.”

Well we can all relate to that and he is leaving on good terms and handing over to Randy.

The song of the year as far as I’m concerned. Ellen will be a poor replacement for Simon, I fear.

Props to Larry! I hate when I see boys (and even some older men) with their pants hanging beneath their shorts. If they knew the symbolism of the sagging pants, perhaps they would stop it. The two things it symbolizes are:

From the days of slavery, the male slaves were not given belts to wear with their pants. It’s hard to run off when your pants are falling around your ankles. I’m sure many a juvenile delinquent can attest to this when trying to run from the police.

In prison, men who wear their pants low are letting the general prison population know that they are available for anal sex. They will soon be someone’s b****.

Thanks for sharing. I hope Larry’s song is a number one hit!

Love American, Love Simon, Love Larry, pants hanging down to the ground, is the most digusting this I have ever seen, I think that every time the police see this display of nastyness they should write a ticket. Good article.

Pants on the ground? Kind of the opposite to Simon Cowell, who appears not to be able to get his pants any higher!

I loved it, I thought he should have gone to Hollywood at any age. I agree with him too, I get a giggle every time I see these guys with their butt hanging out and their pants on the ground.
