A short story.
The Powers
Three years ago I did something that I will, unfortunately, never forget. What I did scared me and everyone I knew except the traitor, may his eyes fall out,and caused me to have to leave my friends, my family and my home. I was a villian. Not the hero, the villian. I am the bad guy.
The traitor also could do things like me, we had powers. I was always an odd child but no one could have guessed what I could do. I could use the elements to do whatever I wanted but three years ago I knew almost nothing. I didn’t know that there were other people like me, nor did I know what all I could do. I figured out some of what I could do at the beginning and then it got out of hand, and I became a murderer. I killed several people and the traitor had seen me do it. He revealed that he also had some powers like mine but he was more skilled, so we ran away and the traitor had trained me.
He only trained me a little bit because he didn’t want me as strong as him so he could beat me in a fight if it came to that. Oh, by the way I had a very odd eye colour, blue with a downward streak of bright red . No one ever saw anything like my eyes and people liked to look at them. We wandered for quite a while before we decided to come back to my home town of Toronto, Ontario. No one recognized me so I was happy for once until I experimented and caused a building to explode.
As you can probably tell I was never very lucky, and where ever I went I had caused death and destruction and to tell you the truth some of it actually felt good, like when you eat something that makes your toungue tingle and it just feels so good. That’s why I’m the bad guy. I like death and destruction.
So at age fifteen, two years ago, Alex, the traitor, and I were once again on the run. But my luck only got worse from there. Alex met an old friend who also had powers, but this friend could gauge other peoples powers too. He told Alex never to tell me my true potential, it would end up his death, so he didn’t.
We stayed with this friend and he had introduced us to the League of Heros.
