The rabbit watched the cat as she drew nearer. The cat had been playing with a yawn ball of many colors.

I only came in on my way home to buy Tommy Boy his favorite kitty chow.  But today the store had a small fence in area in the middle of the store. I slowly approach the fence and there they were. The most lovable rabbits i had ever seen. They were different colors and just the smallest rabbits i had ever seen. Kelly who ran the store said that they were just brought in. She tried her hardest to sell me one. I decided i needed to think about this, so i left with just with Tommy Boy’s food and a large bag of litter. After thinking for a week, i decided to look at them one more time. Tommy Boy was the only pet i had and since i worked at home, maybe it could work. As i pulled up i notice a lot of people in front of Kelly’s. There were all watching the rabbits and petting them. I moved in closer and my eye caught the different colors on the one in the corner. He looked scared and when he looked at me, he looked like he wanted me to rescue him from the crowd. Its most likely in my head but what pretty colors he had. I picked him up and he nuzzled my neck. This is the one i thought. It went inside and Kelly fixed me up with an extra litter box. She then added the rabbit food and bedding. May I borrow the cage tote until tomorrow, i asked? Sure Kelly replied. Just bring it back next time you come to the store. Well were home. The rabbit looked confused. Its going to be alright. Wow, i have to give you a name, dont i? I decided to keep the rabbit in the laundry room for a couple days. Tommy Boy could check out the smells of the new comerbefore i left him out in a bigger area. After watching the rabbit at play, the name finally came to me. Jumper! that’syour name. Jumper because all you do is jump and play. The day came to see what Tommy Boy and Jumper would do. I prayed they would get along. Tommy Boy and Jumper came face to face. Tommy Boy’s fur stood straight up and he hiss. As he came closer to Jumper, the rabbit backed up a little. Then as Tommy Boy came closer, Jumper jumped right over Tommy Boy. It sort of became a game for both of them. The next few days i worried about them getting along. Finally some peace. One day i left for town. I wanted to see what they were doing while i was gone. I set up mini cams in the living room and kitchen. After i had returned home, i played the cams back on the computer. I couldn’t believe what i saw. Tommy Boy was playing with a ball of yarn that i have given to him. It was a ball with many colors. He was playing and then Jumper was in the corner watching him. As TommyBoy came closer to Jumper,  Jumper backed all the way into the corner. Suddenly Jumper sprang up and jumped up grabbing the yawn ball from Tommy Boy. He jumped over Tommy Boy and started playing with the yarn ball. They took turn grabbing the yarn ball. they even wrestle for awhile. The whole thing was funny to watch. I guess you boys are going to be alright. TommyBoy came to me purring and Jumper jump up on my lap. That was three years ago and were all still going strong. I’m just glad that i bought  Jumper. He has made Tommy Boy’s days fun and i find humor in both of them. I wouldn’t trade neither of them for all the tea in China.
