Rare illness turns teenage girl into real life sleeping beauty.
It’s true, there is such thing as sleeping beauty. That is proved by Louisa Ball, a 15-year-old British girl who suffers from Klein-Leven Syndrome, a rare complex neurological disorder that causes patients to fall asleep for days on end. In Louisa’s case, she can sleep for 2 weeks, and have no recollection of what happened during that time.
Her parents have to force feed here, and shake her uncontrollable before she wakes up so they can make her go to the restroom.
Klein-Leven Syndrome is rare and can affect mostly teenagers but has shown to pass 8-12 years later.
