Story of a modern day outlaw.

Eighty-four years is a long way to go, for the common heard.

“Whiley-Olde Texas Rooster”;… never thought that much about being a bird. He was too busy everyday, old South Texas Farmers got way too many chickens in his yard to lay. Not nearly enough hours in Rooster’s day, not nearly enough days, and a week away. Not nearly enough pay for all “Roosters Grey’!!!

Y’all know way, way back in the rooster’s great, great, grand-daddies day. Old cock strong Texas Rooster could make way better than average pay. That was long before places like “Kentucky Fried Chicken”, Y’all know with that catchy slogan “Finger lick in”. Super Targets, HEB grocery stores, and Wal-Marts, open all night and day. Came to Texas to stay and started stuff like “Artificial Incubation”; “Fertilization Stimulation”; “Urine Anilization”, Standard on the work application.

Our old friend the Rooster y’all, ended up “On Probation…….For Life”!!! After sixteen years up state for “Rehabilitation”, I was told Old boy had to do double time when he was down, earning a mere eighty-seven cents a day “Dog” on roads and grounds. Almost a dollar a day, that’s what the feds pay. Ain’t that the American way, In the good old U.S. of A.

“White”, “Blue”, and “Red”… While… “Many San Antonio children go unfed”.

Thank God, for my South Texas roots, and my “Alamo Boots”, and one old rusty gun my Grandfather gave me that still shoots. “Y’all”… Know our old friend the Rooster and the great “Bald Headed American Eagle” had been friends since they were young’ins in school.

The Rooster the baddest bird on the ground, and it’s been told nobody ever came back from the Eagle’s air attack. Yeah dog they had each others back and later in life, they found they had the “Knack”. “For making the “Jack”, stack by stack. “Y’all”…..Our

Old friend the Rooster never really felt like he was breaking the law on a good old boy “Reefer Haul”….
