Meet Matt

Meet The Dupp, they are a notable and well known family in a quite and fancy town named New Italy, at this days they have reach thru the past of 200 years, a great admiration and have been considered in the community as an example with an faultless reputation. But, even when this family still poses a good economic position, the days of glory are not longer present and the big and numerous family is now reduced to a very few members.

Out side New Italy, there is an old Country house, it was once habited by the Dupp dinasty for many years but today a visit of the owners is actually a rare gesture. In this house the Dupp family has kept some beautiful and very ancient pieces of art and furniture, naturally many of these are appreciated not only for the member of the family but also art collectors because they were made in France and brought to New Italy many years ago.

However and due to time, almost every piece require a minimum maintenance or, in other cases a major restoration work and that is the reason Matt, a young member of the community, has been hired to do so, because of his ability in this fine arts. He presents himself early at the Dupp’s property and rings the bell that holds from the front door, in a very short time the gate its open an behind it appears an old lady, she asks Matt to enter and they walk next to the nice, but not well taken garden of the house.

Mrs. Dole, who has been taking care of the house for many years now, takes Matt into the big house, the large corridors that lead to the different rooms, are wide and decorated with portraits that Matt assumed represent the died members of Dupp’s family, finally Mrs. Dole opens a big wood door, inside there is dust every were, the room might not been visited al least in 50 years.  Then Mrs. Dole points with her hand:

-As you can see, young Matt, The Masters keep in this room many valuable pieces of furniture; all of them have been under the family’s custody for a long time. That is why they are quite important.

-Don’t worry, I understand, I’ll be extra careful when working on them- replied Matt.

-I beg Young Matt, to forgive me because of the dirt and the unclean situation of this room but even I have restricted permission to enter until today. I promise to send help in order to clean. Any way it’s important that I tell you, the furniture that needs restoration are the ones covered with black blankets.
