A poem about the creation of heaven and earth, inspired by the Bible, the book of Genesis.
The 7 days of Heaven and Earth
On day ONE he commanded light
Light to shine oh so bright
Split from darkness to pure white
Named one Day and the other Night
On day TWO a dome was formed
Forming blue white water above and below
Its name of Sky had beauty and grace
For all to share within this dome space
On day THREE water gathered and became Ocean
Leaving dry ground for growing fruit, plants and layered sand
Forming a wide green territory called opened land
On day FOUR all was organized, to help us tell difference
Come Spring, Summer, Fall with no Winter hinderence
The night lights were hung, hanging up real far
Its what we know today as our lucky Stars
On day FIVE the birds took flight in the air
Roaming freely for all to stare
Fish and sea creatures were created and dared
To grow and expand, filling the Ocean bare
On day SIX he made animals, all kinds tame and pure
Happy with his creations, making me and you for sure
Calling us humans to oversee
The birds and the fishes and all that breathes
Expand and be fruitful for I give you my blessing
To become a society in what he called heaven
On day SEVEN blessed as a special day
A day of relaxation for all to pray
This message will be told to you and me
The blessing about it, in future you’ll see
The 7 days of Heaven and Earth
