Six friends go to the french city of Marseille.

The Six Companions go to Marseille

It was the first day of summer vacation. The six companions (Harry, David, William, James, Peter, and I Alex) my dog (Kafi) and one girl (Mary) had a meeting at our “cave”. We were discussing what we should do for vacation. James wanted to go to Spain, I wanted to stay here. The rest of the band agreed with me. But suddenly Mary ran in and said “We are going to Marseilles for vacation. I’ve phoned a friend and she will be delighted to accept us in her house. Except you will have to bring your tents to camp in the garden there is not enough space in her house” Knowing we should never discuss with Mary we accepted. Peter, who was our band’s repairer, said he would a day to fix all our motorbikes. After he was finished we all went back home to have a good night’s sleep to be in good shape tomorrow. The next day we all jumped on our motorbikes and hit the road. We arrived three hours later. Mary’s friend, called Margaret, ran towards us when she recognized us. The next day Margaret showed us around the town. She showed us the Bella Vista, the most famous castle in the region. One day we were having a walk around the city, we saw someone rolling and shouting for help. He seemed in lots of pain. We ran over to him. His lip was bleeding and his arms were covered in blood. He told he had gotten aggressed by a group of three gangsters who took all his valuable stuff. He was called Leo. We looked a bit further from the aggression scene and found a shoe lost by one of the gangsters. A shoe is the best item for Kafi who was brought as a police dog. We promised Leo we would find his aggressors. The next day the investigation started. I gave the shoe to Kafi so he could smell it. Kafi brought us onto a rocky road. We found jewels on the floor so we figured out they had passed by here. We kept on running until we found a little wooden house. Kafi smelled the door; we supposed that the gangster had passed here. Peter took out a screw driver and unscrewed the door with no noise. The gangsters must have heard him because when the door fell nobody was there. Kafi smelled the chimney. William deducted they must have past by the chimney. We went back outside. Kafi smelled the shoe again. He started running. We followed him as quickly as we could. We caught up with gangsters, I told Kafi to catch them. Kafi ran towards them, but one of them took a gun out and shot him in the leg. When I heard the shot I ran as fast as I could to see Kafi. When I saw he was wounded I promised to take revenge for him.  Suddenly, we heard a gun fire. We ran towards the sound to see what was happening. What we saw shocked us. One of the gangsters had been shot by one of his friends. While he was still living we asked him why one of his “friends” had done that. He said “They weren’t really my friends. I had been enrolled in their activity by force. What happen was I saw them assassinating somebody. When they found out I had been a witness they gave me a choice. Die or help them in their activities. I chose to help them. The reason they shot is because I lost my shoe near scene where we had aggressed somebody.” Now everything was clear to us. When we went back home we asked Margaret if she had a newspaper saying that somebody was assassinated. She said that yes she did have one and it dated of two weeks ago. We took it because we wanted to know the exact placed of the assassination. The next day when we arrived at destination, we saw that the police was guarding the sector. We asked them why they were guarding the sector. They answered a crime had been committed but it was open for the public. We went into the house to see if there was anything of interest for our investigation. Mary found the crime weapon in the basement. Kafi who was a bit recovered from his leg injury smelled it. He made us run through the whole city and into the woods. We ran and ran until we arrived to a cave entrance blocked by a rock. We were hesitant when we saw the cave but Kafi insisted so much that we moved the rock and went inside. The cave was extremely deep and went down into the ground. When we finally arrived to the bottom we had the surprise of seeing a bit of light. We heard the bandits talking. I let Kafi go. He immediately bounded onto the gangsters who were so surprised that they let there guns go.  For some unknown reason an hour past then without anyone knowing, Margaret, seeing we were not coming back called the police and told them our location. So we got decorated with medals for our courage and Kafi got lots of bones.
