Jack Frost’s bride.

On one snowy day
I saw a black cat
Sitting in the snow
His copper eyes bright
Shining intently
Gazing upon mine
He meowed at me
Wanting me to come
He scampered off quick
Leaving his paw prints
For me to follow
I quickly give chase
Following his lead
Taking me so deep
Within the forest
I suddenly stop
In front of a gate
With a sign that read:
“The Queen has returned!”
Soon the gates open
And a man appears
Made of ice and snow
“I’m Jack Frost,” he says
“And you are my mate
I have waited long
For you to return
Come now my maiden
And come here to me
Take your rightful place
Which is next to me
So please take my hand
And say yes my Queen”
I hesitate once
Then I take his hand
Soon I’m transported
To another land
Where I am his queen
And he is my king
Where all time stands still
And snow crystals float
Forming ice castles,
Diamond palaces,
And crystallized lakes
A land where icemen
Come to life for me
My silent sentries
Forever on guard
In the land of snow
Falling endlessly
Where all the creatures
Of the ice forest
Live in harmony
Our snow guardians
Who can only see
What our true form is
For we were transformed
Into ice sculptures
Forever frozen
Together always
For eternity

What fantasy! And all because of a black cat and a wonderful creative poet. Is it cold in here, or is it just me?

The sense and sensibility was frozen in the cold. Too bad the cat didn’t had time to purrrr…Well done, LS.
