It’s a story about a woman named Shelby who is finally read to come out of her shell. She is on a vacation and she decides to let go and try and meet a guy and sleep with him. An unexpected occurrance happens and you find yourself completely emotionaly involved in the plot. It’s a really good story. It’s easily one of my best works. It’s written in a very wierd form too. Part story, part screenplay and all inner monologue is in parentheses or brackets, and dialogue is in script form. Very interesting.

Are You Lonesome Tonight starts to play in Shelby’s head as she stares into shadowy blankness and drifts, watching Bill dismantle her body slowly, piece by piece. She was gonna start tonight…

Act III

With Emptiness All Around

…and now we find ourselves at present time. Everything in the room is still. Nothing is moving. There is no sound. Everything happens slowly. “Was it a dream?” Shelby opens her eyes with sadness being awakened once again “Nope.” The silence breaks as he pulls the silver gun out of the black case, loads the clip and cocks it.

He scratches the temples of his head with the barrel for a moment and smiles to himself, his dimples opening in a congratulatory manor. His teeth gleam and sparkle in the bedside lamp light. He puts the gun to Shelby’s head. She sees the black hole of the barrel and begins to cry weak tears down her cheek. With surrender on her face, she closes them back and sighs. “It’s over.”

Bill

I really don’t wanna be a hypocrite, but it seems we all are these days…
