You know Murphy’s Law, “Whatever can go wrong will go wrong” well that’s my life. If you think that I may be exaggerating well, guess again. Throughout elementary school I was known as E.R., Junior High/Middle School I was Murphy. And finally the name came back with me at a new school, Hello My Name is E.R.
Kindergarten, Mrs. Holtz class, it was my first week at a new school. I wanted to be a cool kid and do everything like everyone else. Well usually when you are that old you listen to anyone and anything. Well I heard the older kids talking saying that whenever we go into the bathroom the 5th graders will beat us up. Well I really had to go but I thought it would be better if I didn’t to save my life. Well hours later there was a call into my Grandparents house, since my mom and dad were at work. “Mrs. James, your grandson needs you to come and pick him up.” My grandma was there in a flash and found out that out of fear I held it in so long that I wet my pants completely. I was known as Yellow for a little. Thank you older kids.
Now this may seem completely semi-normal but trust me as my life goes on it gets a lot worse.
Later in the year I started taking notice to some girls not all. But one girl stood out to me from Kindergarten to 2nd grade, Kristen. Kristen was one of those girls who every athletic guy would like, smart, cute, funny, and very, very athletic. I would giver her my extra food during snack time, and would wake her up last from nap time when I was “the wake up fairy.” I thought I really, really loved her. Well in the kindergarten love kind of way. One day the lunch food did not sit well on my stomach. Well some of you guys can see where this is going, but during class I wanted to stay in their and all of a sudden I threw up. Guess who was sitting right next to me. Yes, my love. She took most of the blow along with all the homework and stuff I had including my book (more like a pamphlet for 5 year olds). And then some of my better friends, Luke, Lucas, and Anthony all yelled that they could see the ham and turkey from the sandwich that I ate. All of it on Kristen. And yet she still sort of talked to me after that and I still liked her. Thank you Friends.
