Reflections behind the mirror, but who is the image that appears? It’s an unknown into the particular and peculiar. It’s the dialogue of a past life while reaching out for a new one. The search has gone far, and the results in a certain mode which is about to unload then reload.

This is the story of a courageous woman Jane Wheatley, who battled Cancer and overcame her own hurdle’s with a mission to change her own reflections, and make her life superficial. She put meaning to live with meaning to survive.

As the shadow of a curtain opens, it’s the spotlight on Jane Wheatley. On October 14, 2007, she went to the Doctor as a routine checkup, and it was determined, Ms. Wheatley had Cancer, and only had a few months to live. The thought of a final chapter, but you could see her saddened eyes, but within her mind, it was actually going to be an introduction. Ms. Wheatley was determined to beat her Cancer, and explain to herself and the world that she was going to be beat this disease, and survive and be counted.

Ms. Wheatley was thinking about all kinds of ways in getting her message across, but what steps would be needed? It was hours in the day and well into the night in researching her own signage with an objective. Then a surge of strength from the heavens gave Ms. Wheatley an idea on what she should do. She decided to give lectures on the awareness of Cancer and travel the U.S. and around the sphere. Ms. Wheatley wanted to conduct her own encouraging series with Cancer patients with new hope and revelations. Ms. Wheatley’s theme was “Be uplifted and be counted”.

She wanted to make a long lasting impression with excel as the reality. Ms. Wheatley was travelling from one U.S. city to another, and spreading into Europe and beyond. She was determined to battle, and utilized her own combat. Ms. Wheatley’s Cancer seemed to worsen and her body was getting frail by the minute. Then suddenly, when she went back to her Doctor, a miracle began to take place. Darkness that loomed was steadily becoming sunshine beyond the shadows of death. Ms. Wheatley’s Cancer was in remission, and even the Doctors were perplexed in what had transpired. However, we all know what truly happened, and it was the intervention beyond medical technology. But instead of a final arrival, it was a new destination with a new saga.

Ms. Wheatley began to see her life beyond the looking glass with new opportunities and instead of sitting and waiting to die, and putting life as a trumpet with many melodies and defined lyrics. She decided to write a book highlighting her ordeal and where her determination was established while encouraging others. There was truly light at the end of the tunnel. It was under uncertainty and through the tunnel of despair and into the daylight of hope.

Moment of truth turned into capturing tomorrow in its tracks, and creating the moment into right now with victory. However, Ms. Wheatley did survive, but in the year 2009, she succumbed and died. She will long be remembered for her courage, and showing us all a new tomorrow with an enriched life. “Be proud and loud and not be a figure of a cloud, but a figure of one’s accomplishment in what can be conquered”.
