The story of nails and fences.
There was a boy who is grumpy. To reduce the anger habit of the child, his father gave a bag of nails and told him to nail a nail in the fence every time he gets angry.
The first day the boy had been nailed 48 nails into the fence. Then gradually the number was reduced. He found that it is easier to hold his temper than hammer in nails into the fence.
Finally came the day when the child feels completely in control of his temper and did not quickly lose patience. He told this to his father, who then suggested that she pull out one nail for each day on which he was not angry.
The days passed and the boy finally told his father that all the nails have been uprooted by it. Then the father brought his son to the fence. “Well, you have succeeded with my son well. But, look at the holes in this fence. The fence will never be the same as before. When you say something in anger. Your words leave scars like a hole in the hearts of others “.
Indeed, an apology can cure many things. But we also must remember that all this is meaningless when we repeat that mistake again.
