Once Upon a Time…

There once was a girl who had been gifted four pretty coffee mugs by her Grandmother.  Because of her chronic procrastination in reorganizing her kitchen, there was no room anywhere for her to display the four pretty coffee mugs.  Then one day, about a year later, the girl took out the box that contained the mugs. One by one, she took them out and admired them sweetly as she gently washed them. And, one by one, she gently dried them, and with glee in her heart, placed them neatly on a shelf.  “Awe, how pretty,” she thought, “thank you Grandma.”  She was so happy to have a complete set of something – four, perfect.

Then one day, she had set one of her beloved coffee mugs on the kitchen counter, next to the sink, and went about her chores.  The next thing she heard was a thump and a crash. In the kitchen, she found her pretty coffee mug in pieces on the floor and her cat on top of the counter. This broke her heart into more pieces than the coffee mug.

Then there were three.

After a few days, she couldn’t stand it anymore and found this great website (http://www.replacements.com/) where she could order an identical mug. Oh joy!  Without further adieu, she placed the order.  A few days later, her mug arrived in the mail and she carefully took it out, examined it with a smile on her face, cleaned it and put it on the shelf right where it belonged.

Then there were four, again.

Then yesterday, bobble-head girl was doing her morning routine, drinking coffee from one of her favorite mugs, booting up her computer.  She placed the coffee mug next to her keyboard, which she normally never does, but did it anyway, got up from her chair and automatically rolled the keyboard back under the desk.

And once again, there were three.
