Story of a three year old girls fear of the toilet and the noise when flushed.

                                                                         The Toilet

It loomed up in front of her. This large white shining porcelain bowl. It’s common name was “the toliet.” It’s not that she mind using it. It was clean and keep her out of trouble if she should wet her panties.

The one thing she hated was that awful noise it made after she finished her business. It was the flush that made her cringe. Why did it have to be so loud? All that rushing water and loud noise scared her.

One day she was at her Nana’s new house. She had to use her bathroom, so with great trepidation she entered the new bathroom. Everything was clean and bright. Nana’s had thoughtfully placed a little stool for her convenience.

Then came the scary part. She had finished her business and had to flush the toilet. Bracing against the noise and rush of water, she pulled the handle. Much to her surprise this toilet was quiet. Oh, everything flushed okay, but no loud noise. Nana’s new house was going to be okay.

This will be silly little story to some who read it, but to others who came remember the trials of childhood it will bring back memories. With all the big problems of the world it is the small problems of childhood that are often overlooked.
