A story about someone or something searching for meaning.
After long hours of mind-numbing whirl, I was eventually picked up by those pair of tender hands, with his innocent little eyes thorned at me, giving me a hint of enthusiasm. He held me even closely that in no time, I had become the substance of his play. When he got tired and weary, he brought me to a nearby store very eagerly that I, too, had become very excited. But not long enough, he gladly gave me to a stern-looking woman in dark blue satin dress, in exchange of a piece of candy. Then he left without even looking back, causing sadness to my face.

The woman was all alone in the store. The place was dull and slightly dim. Moments later, someone knocked at the window. A middle-aged woman appeared. They gave in to a short conversation after which I was given to her together with a medium-sized pouch of groceries.

On her way home, she met a dirty beggar by chance. The latter looked weak and worn out that the woman, without thinking further, had decided to give me to her. And out of the blue, shadows of gratefulness and happiness were painted all over her face, bringing tears to my eyes. And with so much love, she held me near her chest until we reached a dark place enough to spend the night over. I had slept afterwards, leaving her not for a moment.
The next morning, I was awakened by the radiant yet soothing warmth of the sun. I didn’t know why but I felt different this day. It seemed a new beginning, bringing a new hope to wish for and a new light to dream for more. Then as I tried to look at myself, I was totally caught in a breathless charm. I breathed deeply and hard, realizing that finally I have found my meaning! I could hardly believe that someone had brought colors to my life. Someone who was neither rich nor famous but was able to give me my worth by stitching me on her dress, making it whole and useful again.
But proudly I could say that in return, I brought meaning to her as well, a meaning that is truly comforting and special.
