A courtroom story that is allegorical of the Judgment.

“Ahh, there’s that name again…”  as Judge Yahweh Elohim went on.

“Consequently, the accused is also guilty as charged, and sentenced to an eternity in the Lake of fire.  Next case.

The Bailiff read from the next charge sheet.  “Your Honor, Docket No. 3. John Wesley.  He is charged with cussing, lewdness, and deadly sins, 1 through 7 inclusive.

“How does the defendant plead?”  The Defendant was looking at the Judge with a look of wonder and serenity in his eyes.

“Guilty as charged, your Honor.  I throw myself at the mercy of the court.  Satan’s face broke up into a broad grin.

“Wow,” he mused aloud, “this is gonna be an easy one, he’ll get the book thrown at him, without my doing anything, heh heh.”  The Judge was looking at the defendant, “Has counsel explained the consequences of a guilty plea?” He asked the defendant.  “Where is your counsel?”  Just then a man dressed in brilliant clothes and carrying a large book came into the court room and stood before the Judge.  He looked reassuringly at the defendant and answered the Judge.

“Yeshua Mashiah your Honor, attorney for the accused.”  The Judge smiled broadly at the defense counsel, “Oh I see, so I can assume the accused accepted your free gift of Salvation?”

“Yes he has your Honor,” Yeshua opened the book and showed his name, “look, here’s his name in my book of life.”  The judge held out his hand welcoming the defendant, “Well done good and faithful servant, congratulations, the prisoner is free to go and enjoy eternity and drink of the life giving water, and eat of the tree of eternal life.”  Satan punched his fist into the table.

“Dang!” he muttered to his assistant Des Demon, “Lost another one, the boys said we had this one in the bag,”  he takes out his pocket tape recorder and speaks into it, “note to self, do something about preachers visiting jails.”  The accuser Satan gathers up his briefcase and papers and walks out of the courtroom and he meets Jesus as he is walking out the door.  Jesus fixed him with eyes that portrayed the wisdom of the universe.

“Get thee behind me Satan!”  Jesus said as he walked ahead of him from the court room.
