It was Tuesday night. I was reading when suddenly I heard a deafening scream. I covered my ears with fear and I ran out of the house. Every time I went farther the scream got louder. Then finally it all stopped. To my surprise there was nothing around.
When I turned around to go back home I saw a little girl girl crying. I asked her what she was crying about but she said nothing with tears dripping from her face. Whatever had happened to her must have been horrible. Then a flashing light came. My face started to sweat. The little girl ran up to the light and disappeared in the moonlit night. Then the light got brighter and suddenly everything went black.
I found myself in a room as black as pencil lead. I did not know the time but I thought I had been in there for about 40 minutes. I started to walk around and then a bright light came on! A guy in all black was standing next to me and said I had two choices. I could go back in time and see my life or I could die. I said I would do the first choice, then I fell back in to a bright colored hole and it all went black again!
I was in a world with only black and white. I looked around and saw a woman who had a basket with a baby in it and they were at my house. For a few seconds I did not know who they were but soon I found out. Then I saw my mom come out of the house. In my head I was confused and I thought it did not make sense. Then I put the clues together! I was adopted!
The person that put me on the porch was my real mom. Maybe she was also the little girl I saw before, crying. The person that came out of the house who I always thought was my real mom, wasn’t. Then I felt a pull on my leg and I was back in my own time.
I heard someone screaming my name; it was the person that adopted me. I went into the house and said in a shimmery voice; “We need to have a talk.”
