The Un-Heroes find out there’s a slight problem.. .
Amee, Lori, and Maey watched the scene before them. Large explosions, screams, and the occasional dead rodent flew through the air. In the middle of the huge mess was a ginormous robot. It was sickly yellow and puke green colored. It’s huge robotic arms swinging madly, and it’s mouth shooting out dangerous fireballs that exploded upon contact. A man dressed in robes and a pointy wizard’s hat the same colors as the robot sat atop and seemed to be managing it.
The three girls marched right up to the robot. It was a wonder that they never got smashed, exploded, or whacked by anything on their way, but they made it to the foot of the robot without so much as a bent hair.
Lori banged onto the ankle of the thing, standing atop what may have been it’s third toe. The bang echoed throughout the robot until it shook the wizard-dress man above. He paused just long enough to look down at the trio.
“Ho there! What do you three want? Can’t you see I’m busy here?” He shouted down to them indignantly.
Amee stepped up and showed her fist to the man. “We’ve come to bring you down!” She growled.
The man scrunched his eyes and leaned the robot head closer to it’s foot so as to get a better look at the three.
“I haven’t seen you’re faces before? Are you new heroes?” He asked.
Maey put her hands on her hips and stuck out her tongue. “Yes! And we’re here to stop you!”
“Hmmmm, what are your names then?” The man said as he slipped a pair of glasses onto his nose and produced a PDA from his robes.
“Lori!” Said Lori.
“Maey!”
Amee.”
“Hmm yes, yes…no, hmmm mmmm ah ha!” He took off the glasses and stuffed the PDA back where it had come from. “You three are NOT heroes after all! So if you’ll excuse me I have some exploding to do.”
The three looked up at him curiously. Amee tilted her head slightly.
“So, how do we become heroes?”
The man stopped his robot in mid-fire blast and looked back down a them. “That’s easy! Just head down that road until you come to Heroes General. Can’t miss it, It’s right across from Villain Mart! They’ll set you up!”
And with that, the man shook the three girls off his robot’s toes and continued on with his destruction and mayhem.
“Why didn’t we know about this before?” Amee asked absent mindfully.
“Lori shrugged. “Who cares let’s just go!”
Maey giggled and skipped down the almost invisible street. (It had been one of the first things the wizard-man had destroyed.) “Maybe I can have a princess costume! Yaaay!”
And so, our almost heroes began their trek to Heroes General so that they could become licensed heroes.
