Good heart is always repaid with rewards.
When Dr. Paul heard of the street name, a place where he collapsed while selling things, he immediately postponed all the appointments. He would like to try any endeavors he had to save Jane who had saved his life. He gave the best treatment to Jane and served her well. He checked, treated and gave her the best ever medicine to cure her illness.
With Dr. Paul’s compassionate treatment, Jane was finally cured. He brought along a medical bill to Jane and left her for his job. Jane was scared of looking at the bill as she knew that she had to work very hard this lifetime to pay Dr. Paul. She felt guilty for owing Dr. Paul. With her trembling hands, he opened the bill and started to read some written sentences:
Dear Jane,
You had saved my life with a glass of hot milk. So, you’ve paid the medical bill. And now you owe me nothing.
Take care and rest well!
Sincerely,
Dr. Paul
At the bottom of the note, there was a big signature of Dr. Paul.
After reading this note, Jane felt some hot joyous tears got her eyes wet. She was touching and praying silently in heart: Thanks God!
Jane felt grateful and respect to Dr. Paul as a kind-hearted doctor. Dr. Paul said that he was doing his duty. He was repaying the kindness of Jane who had saved his life. He was too glad to be able to serve her.
Remarks:
Sometimes, though the kindness is as small as a germ, it may benefit the person who needs help badly. The lady in this story offered her help sincerely to Paul, but no one knew that, Dr. Paul had saved her life at last.
Of course, we shouldn’t expect for any rewards or returns when doing good deeds. It should be bear in mind that we should try on every attempt we have to help those who are in needs. Maybe you will be rewarded or maybe not, but this is not important or to be served as a reason to help someone. The most important thing here is that your heart to help others has gained you a healthy, blessing and happy life.
Someone says, “Good heart is the paradise while wicked heart is the hell.” Therefore, it is always meaningful to place the paradise in your heart.
