A story of an embarrassing moment in my life.

This embarrassing situation took place many years ago when I was in grade 3. My brothers and I were in our first year in a private school, and the building the school was in was really small and old. The washrooms were the worst, they were usually filled with many small insects. Mostly ’stink’ bugs that fly around and land on windows or floors looking very creepy and gross. Because of this comes my embarrassing story.

One ordinary day inside the classroom, my classmates and I sat down in our desks – the kinds where the seat and desk are attached. And sometime during the day – I honestly don’t remember when – I had the amazing urge to go to the urinal. Even though that was the case, I just couldn’t go to the washroom. The reason was because of what was in it… Yes, I was – and still am – scared of insects. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind ladybugs or… butterflies. But ‘stink’ bugs are a different idea. So, I was too scared to go. As a result, I wet my pants…  Not to mention the seat as well. When I stood up because we all had to stand up, there was a little puddle of urine sitting in my chair. I was praying hard and subtly that no one would notice! To my present knowledge, no one has found out to this day! Nine years later, however, I did end up telling my friend – who was also in my class – about it and he died laughing. I don’t blame him, what I did was very out of the ordinary.

I had the same experience. I wet my pants because the teacher wouldn’t let me go to the restroom. Wetting your pants is embarassing but, sometimes it can’t be helped. Thanks for the share!

It is not that out of the ordinary.
I too (or three) had a similar experience.
We came to Canada from England and everything was so different. I was in Kindergarten and terrified. I did not know the rule about raising your hand to ask to go. We were in reading circle when I went. I was so embarassed and scared. My sweet older sister had to take me to the washroom and then home.
I will never forget that day.
Thank you for sharing your story Mike. It makes me feel less alone in mine.
