The value and the money – A short story written by Paulo Coelho.

Ciccone German tells the story of a man who, thanks to his enormous wealth and infinite greed, decided to buy everything in his power.

After filling his many houses with clothes, furniture, cars, jewelry, the man decided to buy other things.

Bought ethics and morality, and this time it was created corruption.

Bought solidarity and generosity - and then the indifference was created.

Bought justice and its laws - giving birth at the same time impunity.

Bought love and feelings, and was pain and remorse.

The most powerful man in the world bought all he wanted to possess material goods, and all the values he wanted to dominate.

Until one day, already drunk on so much power, he decided to buy himself.

Despite all the money, failed to achieve its goal. So from this moment, it created the consciousness of Earth and one that no one can put a price: his own worth.
