Blackmore moves into his new home.
Blackmore smiled as he brought in the last of the supplies to fix up his new home. This old warehouse was almost forgotten in this small town. It wasn’t being used and now that he owned it it wouldn’t take long to make it livable for him the only person who knew he was here.
“Come on Eric. Why the hell do you think this place would be so great to live in?” She growled as she set down the box.
“Three reasons Vic.” He smiled at his younger cousin. “Because it’s out of the way, easily defended and large enough to continue you’re training.”
“So you still want to train me to do the stuff you do?” Victory shook her head. “What good does that do? If I gain control of my abilities those guys you use to work for will just come and take me away. Just like they did with you and Ty. I don’t want to work for them getting our kind.”
“You won’t have to.” Blackmore smiled. “They already know about you but aren’t interested. Too much of my influence. Besides, you need to know what powers you can use and how to use them if they do decide to come after you.”
“Then I guess I should get use to calling this home shouldn’t I.” Victory said as she put a bag on the table. “Where’s my room.”
“You take that room in the back. I’ll take the one up top.” Blackmore tossed his clothing bag up onto the loft above. “That way you don’t have to worry about the rickety old stairs.”
“Those stairs do look rather rickety.” She smiled. “How do you plan to get up there. I’m not sure if that they can hold your weight. How do you plan to get up there?”
Blackmore smiled. “Like this.” He jumped and bounced off the wall then landed in on the loft without a third move.
“Show off.” Victory muttered.
Blackmore slapped his chest and then stretched out his hand and a small box floated up to him. “Forgot my smokes.”
“When are you going to teach me to do that?” She called up to him.
“Right now.” He smiled evilly. “Finish unloading the truck and get everything laid out.”
“Half of that stuff is heavier then I am.” She wined. “How am I gonna to do that?”
Blackmore smiled. “You’re a Sadian Vic. You have telekinesis use it to lift and carry everything that’s too heavy. It will be good practice for you.”
“What about you?” Victory growled. “What are you going to do?”
Another object floated up to the second floor. “I’m gonna set up our defense system. We need to make sure that this place stays private.”
