The white giant.
Sometimes, when his mother sent for wine or cider to the tavern to his son Martin Arcale, we used to say:
And if you are, old Tellagorri, do not talk, and if he says something, respond to all that.
Tellagorri, Martin’s great-uncle, brother of the mother of his father, was a thin man with a hooked nose and huge, gray hair, gray eyes, and long clay pipe in his mouth. Strong point in Arcale tavern, had his headquarters there, there harangued, debated and kept alive the latent hatred between the peasants by the landlord.
Tellagorri old lived in a small portion of resources that he agency, and had a bad reputation among the wealthy of the town. It was, at heart, a man of prey, happy and jovial, good drinker, a good friend and inside of his soul violent enough to shoot one or to burn the whole village.
Martin’s mother sensed that, given the nature of his son, Tellagorri end up making friends, whom she regarded as a sinister man. Indeed it was, the same day the old man knew the beating that his nephew had been awarded to young Ohando, took him under his wing and began to initiate him into their lives.
