The story of a young girl, who finally learns who she is.

“I have followed you in my mind all these years. I could sense you but not see you. I could feel your sorrow. That is how I knew you would come by here.”

“It’s a relief to me that you are here now. Thank you for coming for me, Nana.”

“You’re welcome, child. The others who had been jailed with me have all bet let out over the past year. They have found the rest of the children, the others taken when you were, and are waiting for us with them back in our village. The village had been left in ruins, but the reconstruction has begun.”

Even though I was upset about my parents, the idea of going to this village excited me beyond belief. “Can we go there, Nana? I would love to see where I was born, and where my parents took care of me.”

“That’s why I’m here, child. To bring you home with me. It is my hope that you will let me train you to be a Priestess. I can show you how to control your powers, and how to use your talents for good.”

She told me she had a truck out back of her cottage, that she was too tired to get us there any other way. Placing herself and this cottage here had taken a lot out of her. I packed the few things she had into the back of the truck, and helped her onto the passenger side seat.

When we arrived in town, I showed her the room I was renting. I explained that I did odd jobs in order to live. She seemed saddened by this.

I packed what I needed to bring with me, and loaded the bags into the of her truck. We stopped at a convenience store for gas and the supplies we would need for the trip, and we ate at a diner just outside of town.

It would take us most of the night to get to the village. I would be home soon.
