Just a short story about my fishing adventure. It’s not boring.
Today I went down to the river tot try to catch some catfish. When I got there, I realized this was going to be a great day. There were huge fish jumping all over the place, and I thought if I just throw a worm and a hook in, I should catch some pretty decent sized fish.
But I was proven wrong. Comepletely wrong! I spent two hours in that exact same spot, with fish jumping all around me, and I could actually tell that some of them were Bass.
In the two hours I was there, I had tried Worms, Leeches, Buckshots, Hard baits, Spoons, EVERYTHING. And I never got a bite.
Why? I really don’t know. I guess these fish were way more formally educated then any other fish, and they knew that anything that looked even remotely fake really was fake.
But that wasn’t the end of my journey. Not even close. When I was walking through the weeds to get to level ground from the rive, a pack of at lease 100 Rabbits swarmed around me. None of them ever stopped, but there were so many of them that they were actually running into the back of my legs. That kind of freaked me out.
And then tight as I was coming out of the brush, I tripped in a rock and as I fell I lost all of my fishing gear. Literally, I lost it. My tackle box rolled down the small hill and into the river, and then got carried away before I could get it. And something happened with the three fishing rods that I had, but I don’t know. I never found them, and I never saw what happened to them.
After 25 minutes of looking for them, I finally gave up and went home.
Sad day, huh?
But luckily I have a ton of replacement rods and reels, so it’s not too big of a deal that I lost them. But I still lost a lot of tackle, and I don’t have replacements for most of my tackle.
