Happily Ever After

I believe in once upon a time. I believe in happily ever after. I believe that every girl is a princess. I believe that every boy, although unwilling to admit it at times is a knight in shining armor; A prince.

I believe in frogs too.

I believe that every little girl in her own fairytale waits for her prince to rescue her.

I believe that every boy deep within desires an adventure, a battle, and even a victory of rescuing his princess.

I believe that every frog desires for that one special kiss in hopes to become a handsome prince.

There is a fairytale in us all. A fairytale that is so alive in our dreams that it so hopes to become a reality when that prince or princess awakens.

The fairy tales tells a story of a battle for love, a battle for the beloved, a battle for a happily ever after.

It’s the courage of a prince to slay a dragon holding the beloved princess in a dungeon and the bravery of a prince riding into this battle for the sake of love.

It’s the dream of the princess capture by the evil force, hoping and wishing that she will be rescued at any moment.

It’s the vision of the frog that one day he too will be able to stand tall on two feet as a dashing, charming, handsome prince.

And all wishing and dreaming to live a happily ever after.

I met a princess once. She was looking for that knight in shining armor to search and rescue her. She was looking for the one brave soul who would rescue her from the evil warrior who hurt her through out the years. I rescued her when I looked her into her eyes and told her the truth about her life, who she was and how beautiful she was and she needed to stand up to that warrior; He has a heart too and it needed to be broken. She listened and now she is living a happily ever after.

I met a princess once who had been horribly beaten and needed to run away from the evil terror of a counterfeit prince. The knight in shining armor came to rescue when I took her by the hands and led her into a world where the possibilities were endless. We did fall in love but I knew in my heart it wasn’t meant to be. I told her that she will always hold a place in my heart. I told her that our meeting is temporary but the true prince would soon arrive to rescue her; he did. They are sharing their happily ever after.

I met a prince once who was getting ready to ride into battle for the one he called his princess. I told him to make sure his armor is on tight and his blades are sharp. Also, to remember that the mountains will be a challenge but he has all the tools necessary to conquer what is before him. He slayed the dragon, rescued the princess and they are now abiding in their happily ever after.

I met a frog once who had lost his way in search of his first kiss. I told the frog to just keep jumping and when he least expected it, he would get that kiss; eventually his kiss came and he became a handsome prince. He and his princess are sharing their happily every after.

I believe the “knight in shining armor” profile fits me well. It’s only because my heart has never found the princess I could truly love.

I believe the time will come when I will be able to slay the dragon and rescue the princess.

I believe a time will come when I may stand firm under the ordinance of God and proclaim my victory with my princess in hand.

Most of all I believe of the time when my fairytale will come to pass and both myself and the one they call my princess will live……
