Fictional story on how Tigers got their stripes and kites got their names.

Let me know what you think.

Long time ago, tigers and lions look like each other. Also they used to walk and run on two legs.

At this point, my daughter uttered, your story is so outrageous that my teddy bear fainted.

They used to have an annual competition flying leaves. Usually, the lions would win and the tigers were very upset. The tigers always hoped that they will be able to win.

One day, a little tiger came up with a very big leaf construct joined together with twigs, and ropes. He kept it hidden and revealed in during the competition. All the animals were very impressed by the size. As the competition progressed, there was a sudden gust of wind and the tiger was carried up in the sky together with the construct.

The little tiger was greatly distressed and he floated up into the clouds. Just as suddenly as the wind came, it died as suddenly as well. The little tiger hurtled towards the ground. As he hit the ground, he rolled but his construct continued to pull him for some distance.

Finally, when he stopped, the other animals came rushing to him. He started coughing but the animals heard “Kite”. The construct was later known as kite.

Due to his fall, he received many cuts but surprisingly the cuts appeared like stripes. His descendents also inherited the stripes.
