A experiment on time.
It began as a simple thought when the machine was first created. It spread until I couldn’t control it. I had to. I had to. There was no way out of it. I just had to! You see, humanity would be better for it! Can’t you see my logic behind it? The board did. They saw the power in which I set in their hands and they took it and gave me the future, past, and even the present.
In 2178 the first fully functional time machine had been created. It wasn’t some crazy scientist. Oh no, it was the big economic empire of Horizon. They specialized and ruled over almost every single product you could think of. They brought in billions. Probably more than that for all I know. They had spent tons and tons on the project for more than seventy-two years. Then finally, a promising scientist, physicist team came through with the equation, science and everything that was needed to send a person into the past. The scientist couldn’t ever figure out how to ever make the machine go in the opposite direction; the future.
They were very cautious about all of it. They knew about all of the theories and thoughts on what going into the past and what any disturbances might cause. In the end they found out that unless something was killed, brought back, or left in the past, it would have no effect. After fifteen years of experiments and tests they began to recruit any scientist, military and what ever they may need for all of this. The military guarded the area with extreme caution and the utmost care. No one but the most elite of the elite knew of the machine.
Around this time I was a promising scientist on my way to a promising career dealing in different types of space travel, dimensions, and sorts of things like that. I’m what you could’ve called a physicist/scientist combo. I was offered a high ranking job in the internal workings of Horizon. The pay was unbelievable and I would be working with some of the greatest names in the scientific world. I accepted instantly.
Within two years I was deeply involved in the development of this machine. With in another year, I had formulated a thought: Advancement. Not of Horizon; but of the human race. We would bring back a handful of human leaders, religious leaders and influential persons from ancient times from each major civilization and then educate them in all the things we knew of technology, art, religion, philosophy, basically, everything that the human race today knows of. I shared this thought only to the leading physicists and scientist. They thought it was great. We formulated a advanced equation that was perfect. We studied it with so much we had so much faith in it that you could’ve compared us to religious fanatics.
