Very Short Story One Page

Story for little children

This is not my best short story on one page, but I haven’t had my morning coffee yet and I wrote this story first thing in the morning. Just so you know. I could have done better.

It was supper time as three-year old Tommy Tate was eating his supper. He was slowly eating his ham in bite sized pieces. Mommy was in the kitchen, hastily doing the dishes. Tommy looked at his plate. He knew that he had to eat his mixed vegtables, but they disgusted him and he knew that Mommy wouldn’t give him dessert if he didn’t eat them. “Mommy I don’t like these.” He pointed to the vegtables. “Don’t point.” Mommy said in an agitated tone of voice. “There are children starving all over the world and you need to eat your vegtables!” “But mommy, I don’t like them.” Tommy whined. He was on the brink of throwing a titanic tantrum. “Sorry Tommy, but you can’t have dessert until you finish your vegtables.” Mommy said, as she looked at Tommy straight in the eye. All of a sudden, Tommy threw a tantrum. “aaaaawwwwwwwllllll!” He screamed as he jumped up and down. “AWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLL!” He sceamed as he fell to the floor and beat the floor with his tiny fists. “Tommy stop that right now!”Mommy said as she put her hands on her hips. “You know that you don’t get dessert until you finish your dinner!” “Waaaaahhhhllllll!” Tommy whined. “I am not going to see you throw a tantrum. Mommy said, firmly.”Either you eat your vegtables or no dessert.” At that, mommy left the room. Tommy was furious. It just wasn’t fair. He could not stand his mixed vegtables, but he had to eat them in order to get dessert. This just wasn’t fair. All of a sudden, Tommy took a handful of his vegtables and them into the wall. Ha Ha! He then took a jar of Ajax cleanser from the sink and shook it all over the kitchen until none was left in the can. Ha ha! He then went to the fridge and took out the ketchup and mustard and smeared them all over the walls. Ha ha! That was when mommy came into the kitchen. When she saw the mess that Tommy made, she opened her eyes real wide and clenched her hands by her side. “Tommy what have you done?” She yelled. Tommy just stood there and did not say a word. “You will be severely punished for this!” Mommy shouted. “Now go to your room and don’t come out for the rest of the night!” Mommy screamed. When daddy got home, mommy told daddy all about Tommy’s bad actions. “He is just so spoiled!” Mommy shouted. “Calm down.” Daddy said. “He will be grounded for a week. I think that that would be a fair punishment.” Tommy heard the whole thing. His door was opened and he could hear everything that mommy and daddy said. So he was grounded. Exausted from his tantrum, he fell asleep.
