My story on tornados.
Jeffery Holt was in his room waiting for supper. He was reading his favourite comic book the “Dilbert anthology”. It was Sunday and he did not look forward to going to school the next day. He had not done any of his homework and he had done nothing the whole weekend. He was a good boy but lazy. . He certainly was not gong to survive the next day unless he skipped school or faked an illness. His mum called him down to have his supper and he knew every second he wasted will bring him one step closer to his after school detention. He jogged down the stairs where a putrid concoction cooked by his mother awaited for him. It was “The” stew. It just wasn’t his day. He sat down, pegged his nose and tried to down as much as he could before his innards gave way. Twenty two point six seconds, a new record. At least that was something to be proud of. He hurriedly ran upstairs and quickly got down to his knees; he put his hands together and started muttering…” Dear God, its been a long time since we’ve had a nice long talk, but today I need your great amazing power to postpone tomorrow…in any way possible. It could be snow or you could get it to rain money somewhere. Or you could even get one of the teachers to go on a wild rampage because he had a little too much whisky last night but please don’t make me go to school tomorrow. In the holy name of Jesus, Amen.” He jumped into bed.
It was 3:45am when he heard the wild sirens. His mum was panicking wildly; there was a wild storm outside. He tried asking his mum what was happening but she was not listening. Then his mum ran to the stairs and frantically looked for her phone. Jeffery guessed she was looking for the phone, it had over two hundred numbers and he had no idea who she was going to call.
Jeff was scared. What was going on? He had no idea what was happening. That’s when he saw it. The largest thing he had ever seen was creating havoc all over the town. He saw a house literally being ripped out of its foundations. It was like it was being demolished right before his eyes. There was a huge tornado making rubble out of Stonefield. He saw his mum running towards the back door, and did not know why. He leapt at her and told her to calm down. He was confused, but quickly remembered that they should evacuating the house and get out of the tornados way.
