What you think could be good, could be bad. Or a mixture of both.
Jutting out of a hole in the ground, covered in red velvet, flies a great array of shapes and figures, glaring out at my face. I smile and delve deeper into this new-found ecstasy, I find myself scratching at my tissue, releasing my skin from vicious ants who eat away my every exterior particle. I look back into my past, redeeming distant memories and forgotten grudges. The Leviathan that once took hold of me, no longer holds chains around me. I fall into an ocean, looking up at the surface, I cannot move. I begin to fall deeper and deeper into this nightmare. I look at my oxygen bubbles as they refract a luscious rainbow from the bright sunlight. I learn to be happy with my near future, for I know that even though I may be drowning, I still catch the light of day. Tears start to drip down my cheeks as I fall into a meadow with red grass. I take the hand of a beautiful girl, as she seems to be all I’ve ever wanted. She leads me down a narrow path and opens a fence door for me. I step past the fence and tumble down many flights of stairs. The happiness that once flowed through me no longer lingers. My skin begins to crack, as it seems I’ve been living for millions of years, I feel faint, but I stay awake. I run up a steep bridge that corrodes after every step I make. It starts to collapse, and the other side disappears from sight. I feel a rush of euphoria throughout my body, and feel as though I may be in heaven. But yet, my heart still beats, I still have a time limit. The sky turns a dark blue, and a gigantic hand grabs me and pulls me down to Earth. I feel one with the plants, I feel one with the animals, I feel one with myself. Colored swirls develop in my peripherals, and every time my eye moves, they follow. A flashing blotch with many different colors forms in the middle of my vision. It turns to a crescent moon as it drifts further and further to the back of my eyes. I look past these hallucinations, and see the beautiful girl, from a distance surrounded by fog. From her mouth, she blows pink flower petals. They circle all around me, enticing me with complete love for her. Even though I am sure that I’ve known her a long time, she reassures to me that we have never even met, and kicks dirt in my face. The dirt turns into tiny little knives piercing my skin. The tears that once dripped from my eyes turn to blood. I regurgitate a bright white line that directs me to a pedestal in an old cathedral. Many objects in the room direct me to this pedestal, but there’s nothing on it. I lose complete feeling in my body and fall on the floor. The gleaming, beautiful girl kneels down beside me, suspended in time. She kisses my forehead, and digs a knife into my chest.
