Life with grandchildren is both fun and stress. It depends on the ages of the family members.Yet with all the trouble love is true and unending.

Yes Triond I have been away both from public and personal life.

I have been busy welcoming a baby grandson, now two weeks old. Everything on one side and cute little Mir Abdullah Umar on the other. 1st of September was the great day.

So…

Sleepless nights , frequent trips to the washroom , baby things and baby scents and odors have filled the days.

‘Mom you should write a book’” Yes dear” I will” I replied as I dropped on the sofa exhausted not by the baby but by the others, three year old Rayyan and little two year Old Sarah, the prankiest of all.

I realised how weak I have grown. NO energy to push Sarah on the swing or the two wheeled cycle or to avoid being pushed aside and sometimes pinched…ooops there she goes SARAH ” a loud call by the Mother makes the kid stop a little but off she dashes to the door pulls  the bolt and is out in the porch in no time at all.

“I will look after the baby but not the elder ones’ I said .My daughter too appeared dead tired.

“MOM time will pass.I  have learnt to be patient”

So much happened everyday that it will be a book. With the Holy month of ramazan, odd time early morning eating and fasting all day really added to the patience.

‘A loud crash, a banging of the large wooden doors and the tap running in the bathroom, toothpaste all pasted on the tub, the basket of unwashed linen overturned and there goes my bag.’SARAH stop, bring grandmas bag here, No dont touch that, No dont open’

OH dear ! what can the matter be- lets put on the ‘Baby songs CD

Hurrah OOOOOOOOOOO- and for the umpteenth time I was ready to listen to the Nursery Rhymes. My childhood returned for real love fun tears laughter joy and ….

when will they be slightly bigger?

Grandma, come please a loud call from the washroom alerts me.” COLOR < COLOR< COLOR< Sarah pulls my shirt and I say -these are innocent kids- calmly now- no panic- and -

then -

Grandchildren are your own. Love them always.

I turn around with a big smile.
