The story of six teens who go to college in the city. These teens have different stories to tell about their college life. The city changed their personalities a bit.
Lilet – a small town girl goes to a big city for college
Giselle – Lilet’s bestfriend who also goes to the city for college and she is a sort of a businessminded person
Daniel – a small town boy and who acts as a leader of a group. who has compassion for arts and digital gadgets. he is a governor’s son.
Maya – a small town girl who grew up in a ranch. she has a compassion for arts and digital gadgets like Daniel.
Lucia – a small town girl who has big dreams and bestfriend of Maya.
Fredo – a small town boy and a rich kid. he is a son of a socialite and fashion designer. a confidant of Daniel
Dr. Rivero – took the doctoral degree in Philosophy and Theology. Has compassion in teaching. Husband of a socialite and a chairwoman of the board of the university. he is sort of strict and disciplinarian.
Lucinda Rivero – the socialite and a chairwoman of the board of the university committee. sort of snob and an alumni of Theta sorority.
Lovely Jane – a senior student and the president of the Theta sorority and comes from a rich family. quite brat and snob.
Patricia Liberty – a senior student and bestfriend of Lovely Jane and her executive assistant
Terrence – a senior student and nephew of Dr. Rivero who have a political ambition. he is the president of Alpha Fraternity
Mrs. Clark – she is a guidance counselor who gives advices to the young people.
Dean Devitto – the dean of the university
David Parker – a senior student and the president of Gamma Fraternity
Nelson – an Alpha Fraternity neophyte
Ms. Amanda Rivero – the perfect daughter of Dr. Rivero and Lucinda Rivero and personal tutor of Lilet.
Aunt of Lilet – who won the nobel prize winner in the 1970’s
The story started in a Philosophy class. Dr. Rivero asked his class to write an essay about their philosophy in life. Terrence, who is a straight A student, got an A of course. His friend Lovely Jane, a cheer leader got an A also. Lovely Jane’s bestfriend Patricia Liberty also got an A. However, there are six freshmen in the class got an F. They are Daniel, Lilet, Giselle, Maya, Fredo, and Lucia. They are freshmen who came from a small town went to a big city for college. And, this is their first day.
Daniel said, “Is this a joke?’
Dr. Rivero replied, “That is not a joke, Daniel. I think you have a big influence on your friends. I wanted the six of you go to the guidance office after class.”
Lovely Jane whispered to Patricia Liberty. She said, “They are doomed.” And, Patricia is just giggled. Lilet is looking at both of them and whispered to her bestfriend Giselle. She said, “I hate those girls. They are making fun of us.”
Daniel stood up and talked to Dr. Rivero. He said, “I don’t understand why you gave us an F. Then, we are called to guidance office for expressing our thoughts. This is lunatic. What kind of education does this university give?”
Dr. Rivero raised his tone and said, “Watch your tongue, young man. I want you to go to the dean’s office. “
Daniel said, “Whaaat!”
He could not believe what is happening to him. He never called to principal’s office before. As a matter of fact, he is a model student.
The six of them is helplessly went to the guidance office. Then, it is Daniel the first one to call.
Mr. Clark said, “I am very disappointed with you, young man. You have good reference from your school and wrote a beautiful essay during your application in this university. How could you write this kind of essay?”
Daniel said,”What do you want me to write? Life is full of sunshine? Gee… I thought you want me to speak out my mind.”
Mrs. Clark said, “The dean wanted to see you. You can go now. And, the committee wanted to suspend you for one week for speaking with Dr. Rivero in ill manner. “
Daniel said, “But, I didn’t do anything.”
Then, Daniel went to the dean’s office. Inside the dean’s office, Dr. Rivero is also waiting. He looked sternly at him.
Dean Devitto said, “Your father is an alumni of this school and a friend of mine. I already talked to your father on phone. He already know about your suspension. This one week suspension includes a community services. You will work with the university’s maintenance staff. It is a part of the disciplinary action of this school and is written in the student handbook. After leaving my office, you must sign first the apology letter to Dr. Rivero.”
Daniel is very helpless when he signed the apology letter to Dr. Rivero. He signed the apology letter even it is not according to his will. After leaving the office, he went to his dormitory. He locked himself inside his room. He called his mother because he is very desperate. He said,” Mom, I feel betrayed and degraded.”
Mrs. Ruiz said, “Daniel, please understand. It is the only school you’ve got which can give you a full scholarship for your SAT and recommendation. And, you got turned down by other schools. Also, this is not an ordinary school. It will provide you a good quality of education.”
Daniel replied,”Yes, mom. And, I have to work as a janitor which is part of their disciplinary action.”
Mrs. Ruiz consoled her son and said, “I know it sounds bad but it will teach you how to behave well and to have self-discipline.”
After Daniel, it’s Giselle’s turn to be called by Mrs. Clark.
Mrs. Clark said, “Giselle, this school is open to every types of cultures but we do not accept this kind of philosophy which you are writing in this essay. I already talked to your mom on phone. I am sorry. But, there are still lots of university that would cater young bright minds like you.”
Giselle has her eyes widely opened. She said,”Are you going to expell me for writing that essay? That is balony. I have a high score in SAT and good recommendations from my former school. You cannot kick me out.”
Mrs. Clark said, “You can go now, Giselle. Or else, I will call the security.”
Giselle leaved the room crying. It seems her life is falling apart. So, Lilet tried to console her bestfriend. She said, “What happened?”
Giselle replied,”They are kicking me out of this school.”
Maya could not believe of what she heard from Giselle. Her heart beats so fast. She feels trembling. She said, “They can’t kick you out. You got the highest score in SAT next to Daniel. Oh my gosh! I think they will kick us out too.”
Lucia is shocked too. But, she tried to calm herself down. She said, “Don’t say that, Maya. They are not going to kick us out.”
Then, it’s Fredo’s turn. Mrs. Clark smiled when Fredo arrived.
Mrs. Clark said, “Good morning, Fredo. How are you feeling today?”
Fredo replied,”Not so good.”
Mrs. Clark said, “Is that because of what happened to your friend Giselle? I also feel bad about her. As you see, Fredo, we take this action as early as possible before she could manipulate your other friends. Poor Lilet! She has a promising future.”
Fredo said,”Uh… Ok. So, are you going to kick me out too?”
Mrs. Clark said,”No, Fredo. Your essay is good except for many grammatically errors. According to your SAT, you are good in Grammar. How come you failed this essay? Is there something bothering you?”
Fredo said,”Mrs. Clark, my dad is also an alumnae of this school and an alumnae of Alpha Fraternity. I am afraid that I cannot keep up with my dad’s good reputation.”
Mrs. Clark said, “That word you are saying is going to eat you up. I tell you. Go to the Alpha’s Fraternity House and file a membership form. I am sure that they are going to accept you.”
Fredo said, “Do you think so, Mrs. Clark? Oh, you are too kind. Thank you.”
After Fredo leaving this room, he told everyone that he is joining the Alpha Fraternity.
Maya remarked,” You are not an athletic, then you decided to join a frat. You must be out of your mind.”
Lucia said,”It is too dangerous.”
Fredo said, “But, I have decided. I wanted to keep my dad’s legacy.”
Lilet said,”Just leave him alone. I know he can manage his own life.”
After Fredo, its Maya’s turn. Her body is trembling as she sat on the chair.
Mrs. Clark said,” Maya, according to your essay, you have few grammatically errors but you have a well organized thoughts. Since Dr. Rivero is a perfectionist, he decided to give you an F.”
Maya asked, “Is that all? Then, why do I have to go to your office?”
Mrs. Clark said, “May I ask you why you chose Data Management as your first chosen career?”
Maya replied,”Simple. It is very easy.”
Mrs. Clark said, “But, life is not that easy. If you wanted to achieve a big dream, you have to work hard. I think that what is keeping you to achieve your dreams because you wanted to have an easy life. Do you want to shift your course to Computer Science? I bet you are good at it.”
Maya replied, “But, I already failed in that career aptitude test before. Why do I have to take that course?”
Mrs. Clark said,” Because I have a confidence in your hidden talents. “
Maya said,”Wow! Are you sure I can do it?”
Mrs. Clark said, “I would not suggest if I am not really sure. Now, go. Tell your friends about the good news.”
Maya said, “But, I will never see my friends again if I changed my classes schedules.”
Mrs. Clark said,”There are lots of people out there who want to make friends with you.”
Maya left the room smiling. They are surprised when they saw a smile on her face.
Maya said, “They offered me to take a Computer Science course.”
Lucia said,” Congratulations!”
After Maya, it’s Lucia’s turn. As she entered the room, she saw Mrs. Clark comparing her essay to Lilet’s.
Mrs. Clark said, “I think Dr. Rivero is right. You are plagiarizing the work of Lilet.”
Lucia replied, “Plagiarizing? It sounds like illegal. It is worst than cheating.”
Mrs. Clark explained, ” Lucia, I know you are a well-opinionated person and you need a push to stand for yourself. “
Lucia said,”Yeah, I think so…”
Mrs. Clark said,”The university board of trustees know your financial condition saw we want to offer you a student assistant program. You will work at the day-care center which is founded by the alumni of this university and receive a minimum wage. This program also provides you a full scholarship. Are you willing to accept this program?”
Lucia said, “Yes, ma’am. “
Mrs. Clark said, “Lucia, as I told you, you need to push yourself to be confident. Don’t you ever underestimate yourself.”
After Lucia left the room, it is Lilet’s turn. Lilet is also trembling when she is inside the room.
Mrs. Clark smiled and said, “Lilet, I am glad that you have chosen this university. You are like your aunt when she was at your age.”
Lilet said, “But, I cannot be here if I am not accepted.”
Mrs. Clark said, “Don’t be such a modest, darling. A Theta like you are born to become an achiever, and this university will equipped you to achieve your dreams. Unfortunately, according to the SAT, you have low score in Math and Science.”
Lilet said, “But, I tried…”
Mrs. Clark said, “But, it will not keep you from becoming an achiever. This board of trustees recommends you to a best tutor. Her name is Amanda Rivero, the daughter of the chairwoman of the board. She will be your tutor in your Science and Math subjects. Unfortunately, her fee is quite high.”
Lilet said, “Oh… “
Mrs. Clark said, “The good news is the Theta sorority will fund your fees and the Theta alumni is willing to give you a full scholarship. You will attain these priveleges if you are willing to be a part of this sorority.”
Lilet said, “Wow!”
Lilet left the room. She told everyone that she is required to join an elite sorority to have a full scholarship.
Lucia said, “Grab the opportunity, Lilet.”
Giselle said sarcastically, “Wow. Good things happen to other people while bad things happened to me.”
Then, Lilet went to the house of the Theta sorority. Lovely Jane and Patricia Liberty saw her signing an application form.
Patricia Liberty said, “What is she doing here?”
Lovely Jane said, “Doing the right thing. Joining the Theta. Leaving her old friend. Meeting new friends.”
Patricia Liberty said, “I thought you hate her because…”
Before Pat finished her statement, Lovely Jane concluded, “She is born to become one of us. According to my mother, her aunt is a nobel prize winner during the 70’s. Her aunt is sponsoring her membership.”
Pat said, “Oh, I see… a special girl from a small country.”
Lovely Jane and Patricia Liberty approached Lilet. Lovely Jane said, “Hi, my name is Lovely Jane and this is Patricial Liberty, my assistant. I am the current president of the sorority. Let’s go to you dorm and start packing your things. You will be staying in my room.”
Then, Fredo went to Alpha Fraternity house. He is filing an application form. Terrence, the president of the fraternity, talked to him.
He said, “We don’t accept a sissy in this house.”
Fredo replied, “I am not a sissy. Look. My dad is an alumni of this fraternity and I wanted to live in the legacy of my dad.”
Terrence said,”I heard stories like yours but they failed during the initiation. And, you belong to that loser group. You are also close to that weirdo guy.”
Fredo said, “Yes. I guess I belong to that loser group. But, I will prove to you that I am not one of them. I am far different from them. If you are referring to Daniel, then I tell you that we are no longer friends. I hate him because he is the cause of my failure during the first day of school.”
Terrence said, “Welcome to the club. Since we are in the same side, I and my dad will sponsor your membership of this fraternity. Congratulations. Only determined people like you can have the sponsorship from the members of this fraternity. “
Fredo said, “I don’t know what to say. Thanks.”
Fredo hurried to his room to pack his things. His room mate and bestfriend Daniel saw him packing.
Daniel said, “Am I drunk or I am just seeing you packing your things? Why?”
Fredo said, “I am joining the frat. I am sick and tired living in the past. I wanted to move on. I wanted to enjoy life like other people. I am also tired to be treated like an underdog. I have dreams, Daniel. I will prove it to you that I can achieve it without any help from you. I am also tired to be the second best. “
Daniel remarked, “What a lousy speech! Now, get out because I don’t want to see a coward like you again.”
After Giselle talked to her mom on phone, she packed her things. Lilet opened the door and Giselle saw the three of them.
Giselle said, “How clueless! Are they your new bestfriends now?”
Patricia Liberty said, “Don’t be too hard on her. It is not her fault. She is just making a right choice. While you are becoming a failure and put all your blames at her.”
Giselle said sarcastically, “Oh yeah. Why are you telling me that? Are you Oprah Winfrey?”
Lovely Jane said to Pat, “Cut it out, Pat. She is hopeless. She cannot even dress herself properly. And, her make-up is lousy.”
Patricia Liberty replied, ‘She came from a small town and follow the Gothic fashion statement.”
Lilet went to Giselle and said, “I am sorry about what happend. I can talk to my aunt to help you in your situation.”
Giselle replied, ‘No need. She will also hate me like others. “
After Giselle packing her things, tears are flowing from her eyes. She hugged Lilet and said, “Good bye, my friend, and see you soon. Say hello to your new world. You can keep on without me.”
After Giselle left, Lovely Jane and Patricia Liberty are laughing.
Lovely Jane said, “I knew she is a lesbian.”
Patricia Liberty said, “She is overly dramatic for a Gothic girl.”
Lilet is sitting on her bed and crying. She said, “Why this fate is breaking us apart.”
Lovely Jane approached Lilet and gave her an embrace. She said, “I also lost my bestfriend once. But, I made a right choice. I am glad that I found Pat.”
On the next day at the soririty house, the members are eating breakfast. After eating a breakfast, Lilet is going to school. There is a car who keeps following at her. The car stopped and a guy came to her. He said, “My name is Nelson, a neophite of Alpha Fraternity. Terrence asked me to act as your body guard. “
She said, “Wow, this life is glamorous. “
Nelson replied as he is pointing to Daniel who is picking up some trash, ” Yeah, but if you fail your soririty’s spirit, you will lose everything. You are like picking up trash like that person.”
Lilet was surprised when she saw Daniel picking up trash. She hurried to Daniel and said, “What are you doing in that suit? Why are you picking up trash?”
Daniel replied, “It seems like this university has an extra-ordinary way in disciplining the students. Good things happened to bad people while bad things happened to good people. It seems luck has found you, as I heard that you are participating an elite sorority.”
Lilet can’t help herself crying while she is seeing her friend suffering. She embraced Daniel and said, “Oh, this fate really keep us apart.”
Daniel said, “But, you always remain in my heart because you are my real friend. “
After Lucia’s class hours, she hurried to the day care center. As she is riding her bike, she saw many posters of Sigma sorority. These posters are inviting students to attend their leadership seminar. She is very curious so she decided to attend.
When that day came, she sat at the front row and listened carefully to the lecture of a famous speaker who is also an alumnae of this university. That lecture has enlightened her mind and gave her a new spirit. So, she decided to to under the initiation of Sigma sorority and succeeded it.
She managed her time well. She can maintain her grades while she is very busy in the day care center. But, her bestfriend Maya cannot cope up with some lectures. Sometimes, Maya asked herself, “Did I make a right choice?”
But, Maya is studying hard. She gets a tutor in some of her difficult subjects until she learned how to make softwares and computer games by herself. A multi-national I.T. company hired her as an intern to make softwares and computer games and paid her big bucks.
Fredo made it to the swimming team. He is now living in the legacy of his father. He managed to keep up his grades even though he is very tired in the practices. Fredo became more popular in the university because of the awards and medals he got in NCAA. Therefore, Terrence tried to be nice to him and hid his alter-ego because he doesn’t want Fredo to overpower him by his popularity.
Afterwards, Fredo decided to run for student committee. His opponent is his own bestfriend Daniel. He sabotaged Daniel’s campaign with the help of Terrence. Then, Daniel lost his patience on Fredo. Unfortunately, Daniel lost in election.
Daniel learned to how to budget his money. He also found a new job in the nearest ice cream parlor located down the street. He is able to manage his time. To relieve his stress, he let out all his frustrations by creating a blog on the internet which contents the problems of the school’s system and the state’s political and economical situation. According to the student policy, this reading material is not allowed. But, no one knows the identity behind this famous webpage. Everybody in school are reading it, and they liked it.
Giselle’s life in the city is far different from these teens. She make friends with the alcoholics and pot smokers. When her mother found this out, she is very disappointed with her. She is entered in a rehabilitation center by her mother. But, she is completely lose out of control on her depression until a Baptist church made an outreach program in this rehab center.
A minister prayed for er and helped her to cope up with her depression by giving her advices. Then, she finally moved on. When the next school term came, she decided to go back to school. She went to another university and took Entrepreneural Management. She worked in an internet cafe owned by her cousin which is located at her former university. She is very happy because she can see some of her old friends who always go to the internet cafe.
When the inter-school competition for photography came, Daniel won the first place. But, he is called to the dean’s office due to a certain reason.
Dean Devitto said, “I heard from some of the concerned student that you are the creator of a famous webpage which is not allowed in this school’s policy. I am sorry to tell you that we could expell you for that. But, you father called me to request the school board to give you another chance. Finally, the school board decided that we will give you a two-weeks suspension which includes community services. You have such intelligence and energy but you are wasting your talents in some nonsense games.”
Daniel is helpless when he heard the decision from the dean. When he left the office, he saw Lucia waiting outside. Then, Lucia came to him and said, “I wanted to see if you are ok.”
Daniel asked,”Are you the person who told the dean about my web page?”
Lucia replied,’Yes, I did it for your own good. But, listen to me first. Our lives here are better than we had during our fist day in school. We had this good reputation, and we don’t want you to mess this up.”
Daniel said, “Lucia…. I thought we are friends but, your vanity has changed you to become a bitch. I believe my other friends did not turn their backs on me as you did. And, it is not my lost if you decided to left me.”
Lucia could not say anything. She felt insulted by Daniel, and she could not believe that a soft heart like Daniel can speak to her like that. Daniel left her while she remained standing. She said to herself, “I am not a bitch. I am a good person blessed with this good life. He is just a miserable freak who cannot get over with his past mistake.”
At the library, Lilet has found a job as a library assitant. She was given a minimum wage throught the student assistant program. David Parker is also in the library with his few friends. David Parker is the president of Gamma Fraternity who is attrated at the simple beauty of Lilet.
He asked one of his friends about his name. His friend replied, “Oh, thats Lilet. She is small town girl.”
His other friend said, “He is the Terrence’s ex-girlfriend. Terrence dumped her for a trophy girlfriend named Lucia. Poor girl…”
David said sarcastically, “Poor Lucia!”
However, Lilet did not know that Terrence broke up with her until she saw Nelson with Lucia came in the library. She greeted them and said, “Hey, how did you get to know each other?”
Lucia replied, “If it is not for Terrence, I would not get a bodyguard.”
Lilet is not so stupid to get the idea that comes from Lucia’s mouth. So, Lucia continued, “Lilet, Terrence does not go for a loser so he decided to break up with you. He wants me because I am glamorous.”
Lilet replied,”Hey, I am not that stupid. Ok. Even you are glamorous now, it does not change who you are.”
Before Lucia could speak a word to Lilet, Patricia Liberty pulled her in the corner. Pat said, “Please, Lilet. Forget Terrence. He is such a jerk. You deserved someone better. Just concentrate on your studies and your work. Don’t mind that bitch. You did not lose everything but gained everything. What I mean is the officers of the sorority has elected you to be the next president. I had been watching you since you joined us. You became the role model to other members. We believe that you can become a good leader.”
Lilet smiled and embraced Patricia Liberty. She said, “I don’t know what to say. thanks.”
Lucia puzzled why Lilet is so happy despite of the breaking up with Terrence.
Nelson said, “Well, I think she got the good news.”
Lucia asked, “What do you mean?”
Nelson replied, ” As a former bodyguard of Lilet, I know everything what is happening to her. She was elected as a new president of the sorority for the next term.”
Lucia said, “Whaaat! But, I also wanted to be a president. And, my sisters in the sorority did not vote for me. Oh, they failed me. “
Nelson replied, “May be you are not that good enough.”
Terrence and his debate team is preparing for the inter-school competition. Fredo is a new member of the team. On the other hand, David Parker is still enthusiastic to have his team to be the representative for the inter-school competition. He never lose hope even though his team lost in a match with Terrence’s three years ago.
But now, David is very positive to win a re-match with Terrence’s team because he convinced Daniel to join his team and the Gamma fraternity. Daniel is the one of the most persuasive and competent student in the university. He won the hearts of many professors and students through his term papers in Political Science subjects. Daniel met David in the cafeteria when he had his two-weeks suspension. Then, they were became good friends.
David Parker went to the school directress office to make an appeal to have a re-match with Terrence’s team.
Mrs. Lucinda Romero said, “This university’s official debate team lead in the championship in ten years. It is a tradition that Alpha Fraternity who handle this team. Can you assure me that you are strong enough to have a re-match with them?”
David Parker replied, “If we are given a chance, we can assure you that we can lead you in the championship this season.”
Mrs. Lucinda Romero replied, “Lets see about that.”
David Parker left the office and told Daniel the good news. He said, “You are a real gem, Daniel. You gave this team a hope to win this competition. I knew it from the start.”
Daniel replied, ‘Are you sure?”
David said, “As a team, I am going to do my part and you will do your part. That is what team all about. “
Daniel said, “Now, that is what I call the real brotherhood.”
Lucia went to the internet cafe and found Giselle and Maya. Maya is fixing a computer. Lucia asked, “Maya, why are you fixing a computer?”
Maya replied, “Giselle’s cousin hired me to fix his computer. Hey, why did you go to the dean’s office to tell him about Daniel’s webpage?”
Lucia said,”Oh, I thought we are bestfriends that you could understand me. I did this for us. I don’t want him to mess our lives again. We have a better life now.”
Giselle heard their conversation so she joined in. She sarcastically said, “So, you have a better life.”
Lucia remarked,”Watch your tongue. I could destroy your cousin’s establishments just in a snap.”
Giselle said, “You mean you have all the connections from your sorority and your boyfriend’s fraternity. But, it would not last. As you see, your sorority did not vote for you because they don’t want you to ruin their image.”
Lucia found the picture of Giselle with a girl named Elsa. Elsa is a senior who is a gay activist and president of the sorority. She could not believe what she discovered so she said, “You are a mean and greedy lesbian who want to ruin every people’s life. First, you try to ruin Lilet’s but it did not work. So, you want to try to ruin mine.”
She slammed the door quickly after she left. Giselle could not believe at what Lucia said. She asked Maya, “Hey, girl, am I a mean and greedy lesbian who tried to ruin every people’s lives?”
Then, they both laughed and turned it into a joke and said, “Nah!”
Lovely Jane went to an exclusive spa but she could not avail a big discount like before. She quickly called her mom and she learned that the alumni of the sorority cancelled all her priveleges to raise money for charities like student assistance program. She cried because she felt miserable. She used to live in a glamorous lifestyle.
She went to Mrs. Clark office for a counseling. Mrs. Clark said, “Do you know that Patricia Liberty could be the president if you did not bribe your officers by giving them an exclusive gym? Your sorority might have best programs for this school community instead living in vanity. But, this is what life all about. Since you have all the resources, you can use them.”
Lovely Jane cried, “We are no longer have bodyguards since Terrence dumped my member. We used to live in glamorous life like in Beverly Hills. Now, we eat in cafeteria, work for extra money, and raise funds for charities. Life is so horrible!”
Mrs. Clark replied, “But, your members get used to their normal life. They are still happy even without these kinds of priveleges.”
Lovely Jane and Patricia Liberty are at the library. They are very curious about Fredo’s identity . They knew Fredo as a son of Evita Ellewoods, the famous fashion designer who is now residing in England. And, he keeps bragging about his late father who is Robert Mckenly.
Lovely Jane is the one who handles the university school paper. She wants Fredo to be featured because of his growing popularity. While Patricia Liberty is searching on the internet, she found out the Robert Mckenly is still alive and a convicted murder during the 80’s. Then, she told Lovely Jane about it.
Lovely Jane said, “So, his father is still alive in jail. This is a big scope.”
Patricia Liberty replied, “Don’t be such a jerk, Lovely Jane. May be Fredo did not know the truth about his father. “
Terrence joined the conversation as he arrived. He asked, “What is this all about?”
Lovely Jane said, “Oh, hi Terrence. You apprentice is lying about his father. His father Robert Mckenly is in jail for a murder during the 80’s. “
Then, Terrence read the article on the screen. He grinned, “So, this small town boy has a big secret.”
Lovely Jane could predict what he is thinking. She asked, “What is your plan?”
Terrence said, “I really don’t want David’s team win in our competition. Maybe I could use some extra help from Fredo.”
Lovely Jane smirked, “It sounds good. But, how about me. I am the only person became your source to your plan.”
Terrence said, “As your reward, I will arrange everything to get your old glamorous life back. I will convince my dad to contribute money to your alumni association as a deed of charity. “
When Terrence left, Lovely Jane talked to Patricia Liberty privately. She said, “You are not going to tell Lilet everything about this. I have known that you guys become close but that is not what I care about. I am still your boss so do what I told you.”
Patricia Liberty said, “No, Lovely Jane. I am sick and tired of being pushed around by a bully like you. I am going to tell the dean about what you did to Fredo.”
Lovely Jane said, “Oh, this is what you become after you became close to that small town girl. You are becoming rebellous. Oh, I see that you are envy because I beat you in any competion. I am a determined person who will do everything to get my goal. Are you really sure about your decision to stop me?”
Patricia Liberty really know Lovely Jane. She remembered how Lovely Jane bribed the former officers to ellect her as a leader of the sorority .
One night before the competition, the Gamma fraternity is having a party for David Parker’s team. While they are having a celebration, Fredo is outside spying on them. Then, he called Terrence on phone. Terrence said, “Just go inside. Invent a good story. Get some tips.”
Fredo replied, “Can we just play fair?”
Terrence said, “Fredo, I already taught you how to win dirty on any games. Is your heart soften if you see your old pal suffering? Remember that this competion will bring honor to your dad who is in prison.”
Fredo hang-up the phone. He went to the house to talk with Daniel. Daniel opened the door as Fredo rang the doorbell. Daniel asked, “Hey, man. What are you doing here?”
Fredo replied, “I have no place to stay. Terrence kick me out from the team.”
Daniel got suspicious, and Fredo is not a good liar. So, he said, “What is the main reason?”
Fredo replied, “It is a long story.”
David said, “Is it about your father? Fredo, are you telling lies again to impress other people. You already did that when we were in high school.”
Fredo said sheepishly, “Yeah, I guess I never learn.”
Then, they both laughed. Daniel said, “Come in. You can stay in my room until you have a new place to stay.”
At midnight, everybody is sleeping except Fredo. Fredo called Terrence on the cellphone. He said, “I cannot do this. He is my real pal. But for our victory and an honor to my father, I will do this. “
Fredo took all the research papers that are hidden inside Daniel’s drawer. Then, he quietly get out of the house and went to Alpha fraternity house.
When Daniel got up from his bed, he found Fredo is no longer at his bed. He said to himself, “Fredo, I knew you will betray me. But this time, you are going to pay.”
Daniel called Lilet on her cellphone. Lilet said, “I had sent everything to your email. You can check it now.”
Daniel said, “Thanks, Lilet. You are such a real pal.”
Lilet said, “Ok. Bye. Lovely Jane is already awake. She might hear our secret conversation.”
Then, Lilet hang up her cell phone.
David Parker’s team won the competition with Terrence team despite Terrence cheated in this competition. Ten years after, Lilet is now the chairwoman of the board of university. She is happily married with David Parker who is now the senator of the state. Their beloved friend Daniel is political adviser to the president. He wrote many biographies of the good leaders of the state. He also directs many documentary films about the political and social issues.
Maya is now a multi-billionaire and owned a big I.T. company. She is very happy with her life and shared her blessing by building a public I.T. schools for the poor kids.
Giselle is a happy rich lesbian who adopted two children with Elsa. Elsa is now a famous talk show host. They are now living in Beverly Hills.
Lucia was hired as a TV newscaster after she graduated from the university. The TV station found her very charming and very competitive. Her news program is a top rated program on the state.
Lovely Jane handles beauty and wellfare establishments in the state. Her determination keeps her business empire growing.
Patricia Liberty became wealthier than Lovely Jane. As a matter of fact, Patricia Liberty becomes Lovely Jane’s top competitor. This time, Patricia Liberty doesn’t allow Lovely Jane to overcome her in business competition. Her ideas are more innovative which attracts more foreign investors.
Nelson was hired by the university as a guidance counselor. He got his counseling style from Mrs. Clark. When he was promoted as a dean of students affair, he got his style in leading from Dean Devitto. In short, he never has a style of his own.
What happened to Fredo? Hmmm… He is now living in England with his mom. He is managing their family business right after he graduated from the university. He wrote a book entitled, “How To Live and To Tell A Lie” and sold million of copies.
