A fictional short story novel about an adventure by three friends in the jungles of Africa. It will make your blood flow with excitement.
During our walk we passed some very tall gigantic trees, they looked so old I wondered how old they were? While I was lost in thought I felt something hard like a stone fall on my head, it was a nut when I looked up a saw a monkey looking at me chuckling away in laughter. Monkeys are known to be very cheeky, and I knew this was the beginning of a game; the monkey got more nuts and threw them down at us while chuckling away in laughter. It seemed to enjoy throwing nuts and watching us dodge them; we all stood and laughed deeply as we took photos of this notorious monkey. At least there was some life in this part of the forest as we moved along we met many more vibrant animals like baboons, parrots, moles, porcupines and big birds who all lived harmoniously together in the forest.
Our forest walk was wrapped up with an encounter with a black snake that crossed form one side to the other side it was so long and huge, luckily enough Tom had spotted it earlier on so we had to stand far off for some good time as it slithered away and its body disappeared into the green bushes.
I was gripped with fear and I held Kanga’s hand so tightly as we watched the snake do its crossover, I lost my breath for a moment there and my mind started wandering with scary imaginations of being attacked by that snake.
When we were sure all was safe we hurriedly made our way out of the Chinka Forest after taking some photos at the entrance of the forest we jumped into the van and headed back to our camping site. It was now 3:00 p.m. by the time we had finished our forest walk. All we wanted was a nice meal we seemed to be running out of food supplies, we settled for a simple snack of sandwiches and juice as our lunch. We decided to spare the rice and canned beans for our dinner.
After our light lunch we all agreed that an afternoon nap was a good idea and we would carry on with our evening plan at 5:00 p.m.
I was tired from the forest walk we covered quite a few kilometres, and having too much to see also wore my eyes out. I did not have any trouble napping my body was screaming for sleep and so I resigned to sleep while the rest listened to music and some napped.
