A fictional short story novel about an adventure by three friends in the jungles of Africa. It will make your blood flow with excitement.
I woke up at 5:45 p.m. but I felt refreshed and more energised I was ready for the next phase of the evening. Lisa was the chef for the evening she was going to prepare her famous bean stew and Amani was going to prepare coconut rice, the combination sounded delicious.
It is amazing how when not working you seems to have so much time that you sometimes wonder how to spend it. I volunteered to prepare the fresh orange juice since I was feeling redundant already there was nothing much to do. Molly was not a kitchen lady she avoided cooking but enjoyed the meals she was more of a carefree chatty person. While we prepared dinner we listened to BBC radio just to keep in touch with world news as the men played a game of chess.
Tom was busy reading a Jackie Collins Novel, quite interesting being a tour guide you expect him to be reading about wildlife. He seemed to be so engrossed in the novel; I wondered to myself what kind of tour guide I would make in case I changed professions. I definitely would make not make a good one, not with my cowardice character, being a tour guide demanded for a brave heart.
Dinner was ready and we served at around 8: 00 p.m. as savoured the delicious meal we conversed about our different lifestyles back in the city. I was wowed by Timmy’s passion for medicine he was working with a private clinic as a physiotherapist back in the USA. Timmy did not look like he fitted in the medical arena; he struck to be more inclined to arts.
Lisa was the most serious of them all she was an accountant and calculated all her moves by default she was neat and organised in every sense of the word. Molly was a fashion designer she had just completed her degree in fashion designing and this holiday to Africa was a gift from her parents.
Jim was an artist he had his own studio back in the USA, he had taken a few animal photos to take with him and he would paint them and sell them in his studio.
After that interesting lifestyle exchange we played chess game and retired to bed at midnight, the moon was shining and there were a few stars scattered in the blue skies. The park was quiet looks like the animals had gone to sleep except for the usual cricket and frog sounds all was quiet.
Being our last night camping, I was sad that all this natural pleasure was coming to a close, it is as though I could live here forever the wild was a serene place to live in, it offered a more calmer side of life compared to the crazy, hectic life back in the city. I slipped off into slumber the night was cool and as I cuddled up in my warm sleeping bag I relaxed my mind so that I could get ample sleep before the morning broke.
Amani woke us up all to get ready to leave the camp, Timmy, Jim, Molly and Lisa were spending one more night .After freshening up we prepared breakfast and packed up our belongings as we put them the van.
We said our good byes, so much was involved during this period, we had gotten used to our new found friends and saying farewell to them was hard to comprehend. We entered the van and drove back to Nyati Lodge, during the drive there was silence in the van everyone must have been pondering about the wonderful moments we had and flash backs of the wild as we headed back into the hectic city lifestyle.
Back at Nyati Lodge we met a group of tourists who were leaving for the wild, I almost sneaked in their van just to relive the wild experience. But the reality was that it was time to wrap up the wild holiday and get back into city life.

The night at Nyati Lodge was normal it was good to sleep in a concrete building once again the difference was remarkable, however sleeping in a tent was more exciting and more adventurous.
Morning time came and it was time to get ready for the long journey back into the City. Our wild experience was deeply embedded at the bottom of our hearts, and this was the treasure that we carried back with us to City. As soon as we get back into the City I was going to take the photos I had taken for developing and was going to create a special scrap book to remember the exciting wild memories.
