In Psychoanalysis, unconscious is the sum of all thoughts, impulses and desires etc, of which a person is not conscious but influences his or her behavior.

According to Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, identify dreams as an interaction between the unconscious and the conscious. Jung said that the dream’s bizarre quality is an effective language comparable to poetry and uniquely capable of revealing the underlying meaning. While Freud felt like there was an active censorship against the unconscious even during sleep, but both agreed that the unconscious mind is the dominant force of the dream. The unconscious mind is also the subconscious and is known as the deep mind or the dreaming mind and is the largest most powerful part. Some say it is the source and storehouse of our emotions and is often considered a connection with the spirit and even with one another. If we imagine the surface of our brain as the conscious and the inner part of our brain as the unconscious then we know the conscious mind is the smaller portion of the “whole being”. The definition of unconscious is (1) Not aware of. (2) Not realized or intended by the person: as an unconscious act. In Psychoanalysis, the sum of all thoughts, impulses, desires, etc… of which the individual is not conscious but which influences his or her behavior. Dreams are images, sensations, thoughts, etc… passing through a sleeping persons mind. Since we know that part of the mind is the largest and most powerful part and influences our behavior, why can’t we look at it differently in order to become better aware of who we really are, what we really want or what we need to do. Dreams, named by Carl Jung “The collective unconscious” are our resource for collective wisdom and if we deny, reject or suppress our instincts, especially the passionate and fiery ones, we are losing touch with ourselves. Intuition comes from where?…An unknown source. Right up to the conscious mind from the subconscious, making us aware of “something”, causing us to analyze or judge our intuitive insights. Refusing to acknowledge people, places and things that bother us can eventually erupt in unsatisfying behavior. Callings, sometimes they are pranks and sometimes no matter how much we ignore them they just keep calling. I believe these callings are trying to make they’re way to the surface in order to make a point, warn and even answer questions that are somehow linked to an occurrence that is happening in our lives. How many times do we push these callings to the back burner only to warm them up from time to time before we figure out that we need to just eat it or throw it away… Aren’t we taught not to be wasteful? It is the decision’s we make that decides our fate. Deciphering ourselves I believe can be done quietly and uniformly. The more we practice with patience, the better aware we become of who or what we are allowing to run the show.
