Unfaithfulness leads to hell, either physically or mentally.
“Wait! Open the coffin, I want to see my husband’s face!” Lynn was rushing madly to the graveyard.
The headman instructed the man to open the coffin. Oh, my God, there were worms moving around his face! His face was almost eaten up by these scary-looking worms. Upon seeing this, his wife fainted right away. Immediately, someone rushed her to the hospital.
Jang witnessed his friend’s terrible appearance, he felt scared too. He asked one of the wise man there.
“I never think of betraying our own mom will have such punishment!” Then he continued, “But I never did like him….”
The wise man asked, “Have you ever hurt your mom’s feeling?”
Jang responded, “Not now, but when I was small, I did make her feeling sad….”
The wise man explained, “You can’t say you never cause your mom feeling sad when you’ve grown up. Her heart is so sensitive and tender to be touch….”
After saying this, the wise man left Jang to wonder. By this time, the crowd vanished gradually. Half an hour later, the place was almost deserted. Slowly the people ahead him became less, leaving him alone wondering about at the graveyard.
By this moment, the sun disappeared below the horizon and the sky turned dark. Soon, night was falling.
Jang was in a jeep driving back to his home. His mind was in confusion. After seeing worms came out from Long’s face, he felt regret to ignore his mom. He recalled:
“Dear, your mom’s call.” Jang’s wife, Xuan, handed over the phone to him.
“Just tell her that I’m busy at work.” Jang replied in short.
“Mom, Jang said he’s busy.”
“Ok, never mind. Just ask him to come back when he’s free.”
This conversation was repeatedly playing in his mind. He found himself sinful towards his mom as he used to have excuses to escape himself from visiting or calling his mom. The repeat of this experience was definitely not welcomed, he thought. Just few words spoken by the wise man had made him realising his previous mistake. It was another lesson for him.
All of the sudden, he diverted the route leading to his house to another route leading to his mom’s.
Then from the corner of his eye he spied something familiar. Ah yes, right next to the entrance of the house, a sixty-year-old woman sitting there to knit a net.
He jumped out of the jeep and walked leisurely around. When he stepped into the compound of the house, the sun was shining brightly. He squinted his eyes to get used to the glare. The day was hot but the sky was a beautiful blue. He had just cleared a fearful hurdle and he soon found himself unscathed. With a smile on his face he half-walked and half-skipped down the entrance, greeted gently, “Mom, mom!” He looked at his mom closely. Hmm…, though older, he noticed that she was just as lively as ever.
“Hey, Jang, you said you’re busy. Why you didn’t give me a call earlier so that I can prepare your favorable dish?”
“Mom, forgive me. I’ve been sinful towards you…”
“Hey, Jang, are you crazy? What’re you saying?”
“I know, mom you feel hurt, every time I say I couldn’t back to you. Please forgive me, mom!” Something inside him was deeply moved. Tears flowed out of his eyes.
His mom, May, had him hugged tightly and said, “Son, you’ll never do wrong. You’re my flesh. You’re always my flesh. How could I not forgive you?”
Jang cried all the way badly. His mom was moved too and they shed tears. However all good things must come to the end. The presence of his mom really made him realising how fortunate he was. He no longer put luxury as his top priority in life. Indeed, mother’s love is priceless!
This was a true story that I’ve adapted it into a story using my imagination. I hope you enjoy reading it while knowing the messages that I’d like to deliver here. We should thankful for having a loving and an understanding mom. She’s stern when it needs to be so and likewise liberal when the situation allows it. At most her scoldings, not only does it make us realise our mistake but also it make us wiser. Her place will never be replaced by anything precious in this world, as it is so priceless (Read Mother s love is priceless). Treat your mom or dad equally, don’t wait until they vanish from your sight. Give them a call and send them your regards and care as always as possible.
