This is a short story about a cool bunny…

The Maya-blue Ferrari Testarossa is going uptown. This car goes very fast. It is moving at an incredible speed that it is leaving twin trails of fire on the streets where the Ferrari’s wheels have been. Uptown Bunny is driving the Ferrari. He is the coolest bunny in the world. He loves wearing his red and blue urban clothes, fitted baseball cap, and sneakers. Even he knows he has swagger. He knows how to talk the talk, walk the walk, dress the part, and break the heart. Not all the people on the sidewalk can help but to notices him and wave. He drives to 125th Street, making his way to the West Side. He imagines his name on the marquee of the world-famous Apollo Theater. Yes, he is a star! He is arguably, the most famous bunny in New York City.

Uptown Bunny parks the Ferrari in front of the Cotton Club. He is dreaming about paradise. He sees sunshine, waterfalls, and wild animals. His future wife and kids are playing in the beach, having a great time. Observing this brings a smile to Uptown Bunny’s face. He really feel so peaceful, and in an accomplish mood. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever get this feeling. Life really does feel so easy. His kids run to him, and give him a big hug. His lovely wife is not far behind. She hugs him too and kisses him. They love him!

Uptown Bunny feels great escaping to his fantasy land. Now he is dreaming about transforming into a man. He is thinking about that so badly that it happens to him. His body no longer has fur, but skin. His long ears are now small and his tail is gone. He is now a tall, muscular, clean-cut dark complexion man with idol looks. Yes, this feeling is exquisite. He feels stronger and some things are not as tall as they were before. People that look just like Uptown Bunny are rude and disrespectful to him. While being chase by an angry mob, he now thinks being human is not so great.

He wakes up from his fantasy land. Uptown Bunny looks in the mirror and happy to see his real reflection. Yes, it feels great living life as a rabbit! He checks to make sure he still has his two sets of incisor teeth and cottontail. He starts the Ferrari and now he is cruising up the Harlem streets. Uptown Bunny is listening to hip-hop music, getting an adrenaline rush from the rhythm, soulful sound, and speed. Driving this fast can really be addictive to this young, energetic bunny.

The sun is setting, and Uptown Bunny sees a rainbow. He wonders to himself if he can drive on the colorful rays. No bunny in history has ever done that before. Uptown Bunny flips a switch on the dashboard and the car lifts off the street and into the air. He put his shades back on and smiles. Seconds later, the Ferrari is lost in the rainbow…
