The Wild Geese. Scenic highlights at the Lower Rhine and magical moments experienced participants in the photo field trip to the wild geese. The fascinating spectacle of Arctic wild birds was for photo enthusiasts and nature lovers a very intense experience of nature.

The exciting photo tour was conducted by the VHS Goch.

Emotions were pure guaranteed if were to be seen in the wintry landscape setting on the Lower Rhine, the huge flocks of birds in the V-shaped formation flying in the sky and was interrupted by her loud screams and a thousand times the chatter of solitude and silence.

One of the many highlights of the photo adventure was the observation of the flight of wild geese roost in the late evening twilight at moonrise.

The nature photographer and photo designer Uwe Schmid led the participants on this photo tour of his favorite places, the landscapes of the Rhine valley, the nature reserve Xantener Altrhein with Bislicher island near Xanten and Gelderse Poort, in the nature reserves of the duffel and the crane Burger quarry, where of course also many scenic highlights were shown.
