The once powerful Voragian Empire had fallen into decay and was finally usurped by the multi-gallactic Bengra Empire. In order to "adjust the Voragian populations" to their new masters, all the Voragian Armies and Fleets were destroyed, except for the Voragian Fifteenth Fleet, known as the Mighty Fifteenth and who were stationed, at the farthest end of the former Voragian Border, near the Dextra line, on the Lokarian Skirmish zone.
The Mighty Fifteenth, now without an empire to call home, were to be hunted down and killed by any Bengranian Space Battle Cruisers and Bengra Bounty Hunters.
The Lokarians, long time enemies of the Voragian, now, realizing the Bengra Empire had just moved in next door, were looking for mercenaries to fight for them. A nice price was put up and offered to keep their interests and their empire in place. Thus was born from the Mighty Fifteenth, the Voragian Privateers.

Blaster Field’s Saloon.  Voragian Star Time : 00:200:4617:01:45 Lokarian Central Time.

The space air on Sullivan’s Planet, Number Five, was a balmy thirty below ventigrade.  The battered ships of the former Mighty Fifteenth was on high defense alert.  Two thousand Bengranian Long Range Space Cruisers had been dispatched to the area but so was the Voragian Hyper-Space Battle ship, “Star Beauty.”

The risk of bring her home had to be made.  She was the last Voragian Super Battle ship left.  Her Captain and crew were the most combat experienced in combat with the Bengra and they wanted her dead.  The Voragians needed her guns and her intel. The Star Beauty needed to dock soon and was desperately looking to rejoin the remnants of the Mighty Fifteenth.  She had a command flash and decided to head for sector Alpha Dextra, where the Mongoose, a fast and vicious Destroyer/Tracker, snared fifteen Bengra Patrol Vessels with meteor busters.

The Bengra were understandably upset.  They put a ‘torture and execute order” on any member of the Mongoose that might get themselves capture.

The Star Beauty had to travel slow and in stealth, to avoid leaving a space wake, that would give away her position, and thus the problem.  She was almost invisible and very hard to find, when in stealth lock, but was a big blip on Stellar Radar, when she was decloaked.  It made her an easy target for Stryker Steller Subs.  She could only come out of stealth for barely more than quadrasecond.

There was just too much space and the Voragian Privateers had just so many ships to find her safely.   She sent out a flash Com to the Captain of the Fleet Vortigen.  All it read was, “AD-47 Brudart system.”  Even with this information, it was going to be an almost impossible mission to find and connect with the Star Beauty.  Then to get her through to the “Base at the Edge” was going to require every bit of luck and cunning both Captains could muster.

Captain Vortigen called for the Captain of his best tracker, the Mongoose.    It would have to make the impossible happen and do it alone.  The rest of the fleet would have to run the Drex line and distract the Bengra Cruisers, then move to the more treacherous space zone known are Threa two where the Pari Warriors lived.  Even the gutsiest of Bengra would not go there.  It was the last haven left for the Voragians and it was also the home of one of Vortigen wive’s.  Family alliances were all that stopped the Pari from attacking the bordering Galaxies.  They took it very serious, if a family member or their guests were threatened.

Hmmm. Interesting start. I am not into sci-fi – more into drama. I do like the way you handle dialog.
