Comparing my high school years to the current reality I am facing with my foreclosure.

If I were closeted while all this was going on, I know I would have a very different point of view today, because of this added burden on my shoulders. I wake up every morning loving my life, living in gratitude, reflecting on everything and enjoying myself, even though my financial world is shattered.  To go from controlling more than six mllion dollars in real estate to almost nothing, actually gives me more than six million reasons to celebrate the upcoming miracles I am creating.

My brother Andrew has graciously offered to bail me out of my troubles. I don’t think it’s such a good idea, considering I do not want him to put good money after my bad investments.  I will continue to negotiate with the banks until the very end, and I will not give up without a fight.  I already know something great is going to come out of this, no matter what.

I have certain investing partners who are family members, others who are dear friends. They will be losing quite a bit of money from the investments. I will do whatever I have to do in order to pay them back.  I got them into this mess, I feel it’s my responsibility to get them out.  I know the last four years of investing in real estate have not gone to waste.  The growth I experienced and the knowledge I received throughout this ordeal have made me a tougher person.  They have made me a better businessman and real estate investor. Had I not experienced this loss, I would never have been  able to change the way I do business.

Maybe I am better off staying small. Maybe I am better off going big.  I have no idea what the future holds.  I do know that I will do better due diligence before getting into any investment, and I will continue to invest in real estate, which I think is the best creator of wealth in the world, and it’s also a passion of mine.

Living my life with certainty and going after what I want with passion, is the only way for me to move forward. I am still “Most Likely To Succeed” in my world, even if nobody voted for me in high school.
