A satirical piece of prose depicting the tyranny of Communism.

The year is 2150. Most of the world is now under the rule of the Communist Party of China (CCP). China reverted from her brand of neo-socialism/capitalism to become a pure communist state, leading to China emerging victorious in the resultant three-pronged nuclear war between herself, the United States and Russia. Now, the CCP seeks to impart its totalitarian  form of government on the rest of the world, leading to

Welcome to my Utopia! I am Comrade Deng Jiamin, the secretary-general of the CCP. As I contemplate the destruction of moribund capitalism in the now-barren wasteland of the United State following the nuclear apocalypse, I am engulfed with a warm feeling of pleasure. In the Communist Manifesto, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels concluded with the sentence “Labourers of the world unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains.” The dream of these two visionaries has been fulfilled and the proletariat in numerous countries have finally rebelled against the evils of the bourgeoisie and overthrown them. The scale of these revolutions is massive; a hundred times more than the Bolshevik Revolution that Lenin led. Now, as Communism traverses the globe, the days of the Maoist People’s Republic of China, will be recreated all over the world. However, some, a select few, refuse to let go of their old capitalist ways. These rebels label me a despotic ruler of an authoritarian regime. Why they say this, I have no idea. Communism has brought unimaginable benefits to China and will certainly serve the rest of the world in the same way.

There is no more class exploitation in glorious China; private property has been abolished. Everyone works according to their means and all are equal (Forget Orwell’s nonsense about some being “more equal than others”). Disputes are resolved fairly and numerous social welfare programs have been implemented to ensure that old Comrades will be able to retire in comfort.

I feel like surveying my Comrades at work. As I enter into my chauffeur-driven limousine, my butler stands at attention and salutes me. I nod to him and the car pulls away. I glance out of the window at the labourers  at work. They immediately stand at attention as the car passes. Behind me, another of my officials passes in his Mercedes. They instantly regard him the same treatment. I smile contentedly to myself. In my utopia, it must be so comforting for those who were exploited under the bourgeoisie to know that all are equal.
