Alex Respess

Promise of death required by the tongue was met by Alex Respess four years after the death of his mother, after 12 months of hard work.

On Tuesday, the show Good Morning America , the American television channel ABC , he revealed how, in just one year, he managed to lose from 208 pounds to 110. In other words, almost half of original weight. Now fit in just one leg of pants that I used to wear when he was obese.

“I think my mother would say he is proud of the man I became” said Respess, of Duluth, Georgia.

“I am happy and healthy in her memory and help my brothers to be” , said the young man of 23 years.

A fan of baseball, Alex could not practice this sport because of weight and was absolutely terrified to go out to dinner at a restaurant after a day he broke his chair.

In desperation and the desire to keep their promise to the mother, the young man is writing personal trainer Chris Powell , who agreed to help him in the broadcast ABC , “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition” (no “dramatic transformations: edition devoted to weight loss).

Within 90 days, Powell lived with him at his home in Duluth and monitored for 24 hours from 24, to help him lose 45 pounds in three months. It reached its target and fell into a depression.

Powell then went into a military base in Georgia, where the military had one message for him: “Mobilize up and go to finish your mission!”

And the young man listened. Until January 2011 Alex Respess lost 88 pounds and has undergone surgery to remove excess skin.

Since then he has managed to play baseball for the first time.

When he learned that managed to lose 110 kg said: “The number that represents a new life” .
