What If, How And When?
What If, How And When?
The story is about 4 family members, in a ghetto in East Saint Louis, Missouri, and wondering if their ship will ever come in. The family members are Stanley Adams, Ethel Adams, Susan Adams, and Johnny Adams. They were a close knit family, but when it came to living conditions, it was a total different story. Their idea of living, was living the luxuries of middle class actually see the light without worrying about the light bill paid, and lighting candles for a beam of brightness. Mr. Adams worked as a Foremen at Stanford Brewing Company on the night shift, and his wife, Ethel Adams worked as a school bus driver, and her daughter, Susan Adams worked as a waitress and a downtown restaurant in St. Louis. It has always been her dream to own a restaurant. The young Johnny Adams attends high school. The young Adams told his father, “We deserve better than this, and my thought of tomorrow land has become frontier land”. The idea of the pot is our toilet which is the only thing that works. No easy off needed here. In fact, Ms. Butterworth forgot what our address is, and I tend to do the same. Then one day, Johnny Adams decided to do something about the families situation of living conditions. So he wrote a letter telling his account of just how bad his families living conditions were. It got the attention of the media, and of course, caught the attention of Ms. Judy Darling, an American historian mogul. She read Johnny Adam’s, and was immediately touched by his story. Ms. Darling had a meetings with her producers and staff, and arrangements were made to have the Adams family flown to Chicago, Illinois for this big moment. Unknowingly to the family, there was going to be a surprise waiting for them on the show. The staff was briefed, but was told not to tell the family until during the show.
It’s show time, and Judy Darling welcomed the audience, and her guest to the show. Ms. Darling highlighted the letter to the audience, and announced the surprise. She had built a two family house in St. Louis, Missouri in a upscale community. She also found a better job for father Stanley Adams, a Department Manager at a Fortune 500 Corporation, and mother Ethel Adams, an opportunity to attend college, and pursue a degree she always dreamed about. Susan Adams became the owner of her restaurant called, “Midwest Diner”. The young Johnny Adams, a college fund was put aside, and a scholarship in his honor. Life had changed for the family, and a new hope had arrived, and tomorrow land had finally transformed into prosperity world. The ship did come in with an anchor of expectancies along with the docking of foundations. It’s the solid as rock affect, and with an understanding of believing in yourself, and having people believe in your consequences in what happen when your reverse the situation at hand. Oh Lord, how mightier the glory.
