"True Love does not come to an end"

The telephone rang abruptly when she was asleep. She was reluctantly answered the telephone, and heard his best friend’s voice. They hadn’t talked for a while, and yes- she missed him so desperately.

“Hi Kaye, how are you doing tonight? I’ve missed my best friend. Are you free? May I visit you?”

She was stunned, and answered without thinking.

“Of course you can visit. In fact I can’t sleep and need your company.”

Obviously Kaye was in love with her best friend, but she did not even know it. She was so happy when they were together. They were classmates since elementary until in high school, but John, her best friend, did not enter college because of financial problem.

Kaye waited outside the house while she was smoking. She was very excited to see his best friend. She speculated why she was missing him, they just hang out three days ago. John came, speechless… and hugged Kaye like his girlfriend, and kissed Kaye. Words were not needed.

“Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous, love is never boastful or conceited; it is never rude or selfish; it does not take offense, and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins but delights in the truth; it is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, And to endure whatever comes. Love does not come to an end.”             Kaye and John just contemplated in their past. And they were so happy how they surpassed every test that came. John was a silent type and could never say his feelings, but he really loved Kaye ever since. They had been separated for so long, because Kaye wanted to focus in her Journalism course. John never gave up, and just showed his love without words needed, until John proposed for marriage.  And they lived happily ever after…
