Life is what you make it. Make it great for yourself by getting off to a good start into life.
It really irritates me to no end when I hear people complaining about how bad their life really sucks. So much so, now I would like to speak my peace about the subject. I have news for them, their life sucks because 9 chances out of 10 they made it that way. Please allow me to elaborate and give you the reasons why life sucks for them so much. But first read the following real life situation.
Johnny and Susie are twin sister and brother that grew up in a relatively good household with parents that worked very hard and always tried to present and teach them good family values. According to them their parents weren’t strict, but always had rules to follow like house chores and curfews to teach them responsibility. Both Johnny and Susie had different personalities, Johnny was the twin who always listened and followed the rules to the tee, but Susie was more of a person to only do the bare minimum just to get by. Susie often argued with her parents about chores, school work and other things, because she thought they weren’t being fair and didn’t give her enough freedom to hang out with her friends. Although both were relatively good in school, Johnny excelled above his peers because he applied himself. But Susie, like mentioned before only did enough to get by. During their senior year in high school, Johnny received numerous outstanding academic and sports achievement awards and got accepted to Harvard University on a full scholarship. When graduation came around, both Johnny and Susie walked across the same stage to accept their diploma and then Johnny went off to Harvard. Susie; however, decided not to attend college or trade school and moved out of her parents house and in with her boyfriend in another state. Three months later Susie calls her mom and dad on the phone and says to them, I’m pregnant. She also tells them that her boyfriend Freddie lost his job at the burger joint and she needed some money to pay the rent or they would get kicked out at the end of the month.
I am going to stop the story for now; I think you got the point.
Here are the facts. We all know people like Johnny and Susie and we clearly know whose life started to really suck in the story. We all grow up way too fast and have to make vital choices that will affect our lives until our dying days. In the story, Johnny always listened and did his best with everything he did and Susie did not. For Susie, she did basically what she very well pleased all of the time and did not always listen or do her best. She is going to have to live with her not so good choices for the rest of her life. For Johnny’s good decisions to do the right thing, his life reflects that and will be the least likely person to be out their complaining that his life sucks all the time.
To finish the story off, Johnny went on to be a very successful attorney making his parents very proud. Susie on the other hand, her life really sucks. She had two more kids and is on her third dead beat partner, living on welfare and still having to borrow money from her mom and dad to feed and clothe their grand babies.
