There are many pros and cons to texting in a relationship. Sometimes its easier to say something through a text than it is to say it face to face. But always saying things through text can lead to complications, missunderstandings, and misscomunications. I know this because I just recently went through this with someone that I was talking to. We always text each other instead of just talking. We rarely talked face to face about our feelings for each other. So because of that I never really knew exactly how she felt about me. Then after a little bit I was beggining to get the vibe that she just didn’t want to talk to me anymore so I attempted to move on. One day I was hanging out with a friend (female) and she saw me with her. I did not know that she had seen me with her until she text me and told me that she saw me with my lover. She did not mention how this made her feel so I just assumed that she did not like me anymore. But I later found out that because of that, she cried. She was really hurt by it and hurt that I would move on so quickly. But she did not know that I had not moved on. She did not believe me when I had said that she is just a friend and nothing more. She assumed that I was no different than any other guy she knew. That to me, she was just another face in the crowd. This information I did not find out until about 2 weeks later. Once I found out, I earnestly tried to fix what I had broken. To explain to her that I had not moved on, that I still liked her, still had feelings for her. But because I was doing this through text, she did not believe me. So after a week of this, I decided to go over to her house and explain things in person. I was advised to bring flowers with me so I did. As soon as she saw me with the flowers, she believed everything that I had told her and forgave me for everything. So for those of you who don’t talk much to your lady friend in person. Start doing so, otherwise you may end up in a situation like this and showing up at her door with flowers is not going to work every time it happens.
